Chairman Scott Hoen's Update - 5-19-21
Message from our Chairman Scott Hoen
We had, what I though was a great Board meeting on Tuesday, May 11th kicking off my term as Chairman. A lot was discussed and the planning for 2022 has begun. The Board did vote to allocate $800 of our funds to a projector and screen for the office to use as a result of a previous gun raffle.
We are proudly flying the American Flag once again. We moved the flag to the front of the building that allows our office workers to keep an eye on it and are only posting the flag when we are open.
Stand Tall Nevada is having a rally downtown Carson City this Saturday, May 22nd from 10AM – 2PM. We have our own State GOP Vice Chair Jim Hindle speaking to the group. It’s all about election integrity. I don’t think anyone can argue that we want our upcoming elections secure as ever.
Put on your calendar the 6th Annual Basque Fry at Corley Ranch on Saturday, August 14th – buy your tickets online.
Susan Ruch and John Vettel have also begun planning for building out a Precinct organization to work this next election cycle. Stay tuned to hear more about their efforts and reach out if you would like to volunteer to connect with your neighbors.
Lastly, we are going to change up our general meeting on Thursday, May 27th with a public comment period where our members and guests can make comment and recommendations. Listen to our scheduled speaker Assemblywoman Melissa Hardy from Las Vegas give us her take on the Nevada Legislative session.
