Chairman Scott Hoen's Update - 8-4-21

Good Day!--

First, Congratulations to Nevada’s Krysta Palmer, who won a bronze medal in women’s 3-meter springboard diving and became the first woman to win a medal in the event in 33 years. Palmer grew up in Carson City and is a graduate of University of Nevada, Reno and Western Nevada College.

Now let's go -- We are starting to gain momentum doing what we need to do --

The Carson City Republican Party wants to make an impact and we are on the move starting to be more active and visible within our Community. We, as volunteers, are energized and our next event is tomorrow, Thursday, August 5th at our Carson City Republican Party Office that we share with the NV GOP AND the Carson City Republican Women's Club. Our Ice Cream social is our way of inviting the community to visit our office and meet our very important volunteers that make the office go. We will have several candidates there specifically to meet you and get acquainted. Take advantage of the opportunity to find out what their conservative values are for your vote in 2022. Our event starts at 6PM and will go to 8PM -- Anyone is welcome to enjoy some ice cream, have an ice cream float or a refreshment. Bring a family member, friends or a neighbor. We are proud of our office and the impact we WILL make in 2022. We are having an amazing response and please RSVP at (775) 841-1800. We even dressed up the office and are looking forward to seeing you there.

On Friday, August 6th we have candidate for US Senate, Captain Sam Brown, joining us at the Casino Fandango from 12 Noon to 2PM -- Click on this link to register for the event and please watch his candidacy video here.

Our next event is our August Member meeting at the Casino Fandango on the 4th Thursday, August 26th. Registration and Networking at 6:30PM with the meeting starting at 7PM. Two speakers are planned -- one political and the other -- What's happening in Carson City? This will be an important meeting as we have to vote for a State Committeeman or Committeewoman position. Rick Rowe relocated to Florida which leaves a Voter Registration / Outreach committee position. Josh Skaggs is back. For those that know Josh, he was heavily involved with Legislature and lobbying for our conservative values. He is also excellent at voter registration and knocking on doors and he will be one of the candidates running for State Committeemen. You will hear from both at the meeting before you vote. Nominations are welcome from the floor as well. PLEASE attend the meeting if you are an active member to vote. Those that can't vote can give a proxy to a voting member.

Special September plans are already in motion for a community outreach event and you will be hearing more about this soon. Our mission is to grow our membership and awareness of Election Integrity and the importance of registering to vote and register within a Party so you have a voice in the Primary election.

We need your help -- Susan Ruch is doing a fantastic job connecting with those that want to help in all of the precincts Carson City has. That may be a making phone calls or door knocking -- Click here for volunteer opportunities. We will teach you how to use an app called "Campaign Sidekick" to more easily connect with Republicans and those registered as NO Party. Our mission: reach out to all the NO Party registrants and educate them about election integrity and how to register in a party to be able to choose a candidate in the Primary Election in June 2022.
