Chairman Scott Hoen's Update - 9-8-21

The one thing you can count on is change -- The voting rules for 2022 have been changed with the Democratic controlled Assembly, Senate and Governorship passing Assembly Bill 321. Now we have to understand the rules and work the system, as best as we can, to get our fellow Republicans to turn out and convince those registered as NO PARTY to re-register as Independent or the party of their choice. Let your family members, friends or neighbors know the importance of selecting a party to have a voice in the June 2022 Primary elections. You can go online and check your registration status - reach out to our office for assistance, if necessary.

Aubrey Rowlatt, County Recorder / Clerk and Miguel Camacho, presented at the September 2nd Carson City Board of Supervisors meeting. Please watch their presentation below on how they are preparing for the June 2022 elections.

Upcoming events to participate with us --

September 11th at the Memorial Site in Mills Park

On December 19, 2013, Carson City declared Mills Park as a permanent location of the World Trade Center 9/11 Memorial, this has given our community members a place to gather and pay tribute. Lori Bagwell, Mayor of Carson City, and the Board of Supervisors proclaimed September 11, 2021 as “9/11 Day of Service and Remembrance” and invite all citizens to honor the lives lost and those impacted at the 9/11 Memorial site in Mills Park, 1111 E William St., near Seely Loop, at 9 a.m.

September 17th-- Constitution Day

There will be a celebration at the Capitol at 4PM and we encourage you to honor our US Constitution with your presence. We also are offering you, your friends, neighbors and family members to come by our office and get your FREE US Constitution. Copies are available in English and Spanish.

Listen to Shawn Meehan, Guard the Constitution on the Monica Jaye Show at 10AM. Monica Jaye will be inviting callers to ask their questions as we move through some brief lessons about our Constitution most aren't aware of.
