CHAIR'S CORNER

Thankfully, the Big Beautiful Bill was passed and signed into law on July 4th by President Trump.  President Trump made several promises during his campaign, and he is working to fulfill them: “Promises made, Promises Kept”. Key elements, such as no tax on Tips, No Tax on Overtime, and No Tax on Social Security for seniors, were highly reported as part of the legislation. However, several other key factors contributed to the significance of this monumental legislation. Finally, we will be updating our air traffic control systems, there are funds to finish the border wall, hiring thousands of new ICE Agents and Border Patrol agents, funding for the Golden Dome, and blocking illegal immigrants from receiving Medicaid. This is extremely important to improve the quality of life for American Citizens.

With the walls being built along the border, and the continuous advertising about self-deporting, and ICE continually picking up illegals, the number of illegals is declining here in the US. It was reported that a week ago, ICE picked up 170 illegal Iranians. Thankfully, Florida offered Alligator Alcatraz (an unused publicly owned facility) and brought contractors together to complete it in record time. This should be a huge deterrent, with nothing but snakes, alligators, and those horrid mosquitoes that will eat you alive surrounding the detainment center. If I were going to be sent there, I would immediately take the offer to self-deport, pack my bags, and jump on the first flight out.  The Government is now using The Biden administration’s app, which was a tool to allow people to come into our country illegally so that they could apply for asylum, CBP (Customs and Border Protection), without even being interviewed. Now, the Trump Administration, as clever as always, is using the same app, only now it's CBP Home for self-deportation. Instead of living in fear of being picked up by ICE, they can plan to go home in a controlled situation, saying goodbye, not leaving all of their things behind, and the Government is giving them $1,000 to leave plus the ability to legally apply for entry. In my humble opinion, it just makes sense to go home in this dignified way, not in handcuffs or being held in a detention center. The New York Post and the NDTV reported that somewhere between 750,000 and a million people have already self-deported. In the first 100 days, ICE removed 65,682 illegal immigrants, and the number continues to increase every day.

Have you ever wondered how well Europe is dealing with the vast populations (mostly Muslim) it so humbly took in? While the Many European countries have had enough and want them to leave. While mainstream media will not provide detail reporting (https://www.hoover.org/research/migration-remaking-europe-there-workable-path-forward-continent), the economic & social stresses that this is causing is well documented. As we all look at Great Britain, the situation is alarming, and we all need to wake up to this reality. Here are some fascinating facts about some of these countries.  Sweden (https://www.government.se/government-policy/the-governments-priorities/migration-and-integration/about-the-governments-prioritisation-migration-and-integration/) has stated that it is undergoing a paradigm shift in its approach to immigration. As of 2026, they are offering families $34,000 to return home. They have stricter detention laws, which can last up to twelve months. They are proposing a snitch law, workers would report employers who hire illegals in their country, and there is much more. In other words, Sweden has had enough. Denmark is another

country that has now decided to demolish the areas where the asylum seekers live and build more upscale homes.  If these people do not return home, their children, at the age of one, must attend daycare and learn about Danish history and customs.  If the family does not comply, they will be deported.  Italy and Germany have also tightened up their immigration laws. Germany is not as patient with protesters as we are.  I have seen some videos showing that Germany’s police do not have to take the abuse our officers do, Americans should take a page out of their police manual.  We need to wake up as Americans. We have people in this country now who believe the Quran should take the place of the Constitution.  Elections have consequences.  Vote our Values in 2026.  All Republicans must vote.

Breana Owens, the owner of the Farmer’s Market, tried to have another person removed from the Farmer's Market on Saturday by the Sheriff’s Department. Drew Ribar, known for his videos, argued about his constitutional rights with the Sheriff's Department, and after quite a discussion, was allowed to stay.   Meanwhile, Owen’s has allowed the Citizens’ Climate Lobby, a climate change organization, to operate in her Farmers’ Market.  If we are going to save the country, we must educate our citizens on our constitutional rights.   #Pledgetovote2026 - Voter Registration must be allowed!

We are seeking sponsors for our youth table, which will feature 10 young people whom we have committed to having at every one of our major events. A table for 10 is $800. We are accepting funds for individual tickets.  We need the youth to be involved in our future leadership.

Fundraising is a part of our ongoing daily efforts at CCRP.  It keeps our lights on and allows us to advance our Republican Conservative Values.  We are reaching out to new Republicans as well as non-partisan individuals to encourage them to be informed and engaged voters. We will be visiting many of their doors to talk with them directly, handing out our goody bags, which consist of a pocket constitution, American Flag Etiquette, and a refrigerator magnet with important information.  We need your help to perform these activities consistently.  Our Supporters can donate right on our website, or you can mail a donation to our Carson City Republican Party, 1971 California Street, Carson City, NV 89701.  Our sponsorships are as follows:                                                                          Major Donors, $1,000 per year; Carson City Boosters, $200 per year.

Thank you in advance from the CCRP for your generosity; we couldn’t do it without you.

#Pledge to Vote in 2026

Saturday morning, my fellow volunteer and I ventured to Mill’s Park for voter registration. Once more, the farmers’ market is operating in the park’s pavilion, in a great location. For three years, we have requested to hold a NON-Partisan Voter Registration booth with the Farmer’s Market, and for three years, we have been denied. No politics is Breana Owens’ (the owner of the market) response.

This year, we decided to set up a table in the shade of a tree for voter registration in Mills Park.  Mills Park is a public park. Let this sink in: you, the taxpayers of Carson City subsidize the farmers’ market of Carson City. Bet you didn’t know your tax money supports some of the cost for Breana Owens' Farmer’s Market. Kathy and I were sitting by the Monument for 9-11, how ironic it is to have our freedom of speech shut down while by that monument. We were only speaking to people who approached us, we had a non-partisan Voter Registration sign on our table, and we were handing out pocket constitutions and American flags. We were a couple of hundred feet away from the Farmers Market, as my picture demonstrates. Ms. Owens came out onto the grass and told us we had to leave, that she had reserved the entire northeast end of the park, and we were not allowed to be there. I bet you didn’t know the Carson City taxpayers reserved all that portion of the park for the Farmers Market. At that point, I called the board of supervisors to ask if I had the right to be there, and a member confirmed that I did and that I should not move. Upon a more heated discussion regarding the fact that it’s a public park and there must be freedom of speech, Ms. Owens called the Sheriff’s department to have us removed. When the two deputy sheriffs arrived, they had a map that showed she had reserved the pavilion and all the grass area past the playground, extending up to the parking lot, including the playground. I told these young men that it was absurd and the only reason we would move was because they were very friendly and understood our viewpoint. My son-in-law is a police officer, and as I said, I didn’t want to add to their day, but this absurdity was not going to end. An additional point is that we are paying for this overzealous land grab for the entire summer. The Farmers’ Market is in the pavilion, not in the northeast section of the park.

There is a call to boycott the Farmer’s Market, which would surely hurt Owens. I would prefer that you call Mayor Lori Bagwell (775-283-7144) and have her return the grass to the people.  I don’t want to see the Farmers Market hurt and prevent our neighbors from getting fresh fruits and vegetables. Unfortunately, I do believe Owens plays partisan politics. The Farmer’s Market in Gardnerville gives the Republican Party a table inside free of charge for Voter Registration. We were willing to register people as non-partisan, as a public service to you, the people.  To save our country, we must educate the people and be sure they vote in 2026.  We wanted to register voters, and that would have been all parties. Most importantly, we are trying to educate our citizens by giving them pocket constitutions. I am very disappointed with the lack of concern for our voters in Carson City by Ms. Breana Owens the owner of the Farmer’s Market. If we are going to save the country, we must educate our citizens.  #Pledgetovote2026
