The Nevada State Legislature is a Mess! We Need to change this in the 2026 Election.
Did you realize that the Nevada State Senate is made up of 13 Democrats and 8 Republicans? Or that the Nevada State Assembly is made up of 27 Democrats and only 15 Republicans? In 2024, Republicans for Congress earned 158,719 more votes than Democrats (48.5% vs. 37.4%), yet Democrats hold 75% of our congressional seats. Republican state legislative candidates won tens of thousands more votes statewide, yet Democrats were just one seat away from a supermajority in both chambers. How about this for a statistic, Governor Lombardo felt it necessary to veto a record 87 bills that the Nevada State Legislature sent forward to his desk. At the national level both of our Senators are Democrats and in the House we have 3 Democrats and only 1 Republican representative.
With all of us pulling together we have an opportunity to change this in the 2026 election. Seven of the Democrat held Senatorial seats are up for election in 2026 while we have to retain control of four of our Republican held seats. In the Assembly of course all seats are up for election.
