Many of us have been attending David Barton and Rick Green’s Wall Builders Constitution Alive Class on Monday night. As we go through the class, I find it astonishing how much we, the citizens of the United States, do not know or have forgotten about the Constitution. Our forefathers spent years writing the Constitution and the Bill of Rights to protect the citizens and America, and the majority does not know what the Constitution and Bill of Rights say and how our current government is abusing the laws. From what I understand, the law schools do not teach the Constitution; therefore, many of our Congressmen and Senators are not highly knowledgeable on this most critical subject.

Do you remember which branches of government have the most power? You would not believe it based on the judicial branch's behavior, but the Executive Branch (the President) has the most power. The second is the Legislative Branch, and the least powerful is the Judiciary. At this point, the Judicial Branch seems to have taken control because we do not know the Constitution. In the Federalist Paper 78, Alexander Hamilton said, “The judiciary was the weakest branch, and not a threat to liberty if it remained in its proper jurisdiction.” The Executive and Legislative branches have the most power because they answer to their constituents. Judges were never to have lifetime appointments and are to be appointed for good behavior. Every day, there is a judge somewhere in a Democratic state playing politics that should be impeached, if we are following the Constitution. Impeachment is mentioned numerous times in the Constitution, and many judges have been impeached. Contradicting an act of Congress, displaying rudeness in the courtroom, profanity, and high judicial handiness are some of the crimes that judges have committed and were impeached for during our history. We see this every day in our country. The House of Representatives can impeach judges, but they don’t have the willpower, courage, or knowledge to do so.  Alexander Hamilton felt that impeachment is a bridle in the hands of the legislature.  In other words, if the House were to impeach a few judges, they would now start performing as the Judicial Branch should. Thomas Jefferson called “the impeachment a scarecrow, the more frequently impeachment hearings are held, the less frequently judges would have to be impeached.

As you can see by just reading a little about the Constitution, there is so much we do not know.  I have attended three of our Constitution Classes and am enthralled with this information.  Frustrating as it may be, as I can now see, we are not following the constitution, but I want to learn more. Knowledge is power, and we must empower ourselves as well as our youth with this knowledge. We will again offer this Constitution Alive class in the fall. I recommend that you join us, and I will be there to continue to build his knowledge.

Thank goodness the 83rd Legislature is coming to an end.  I want to thank Jim DeGraffenreid and Joshua Skaggs of the Nevada GOP for working night and day to fight off the despicable legislation the Leftist Democrats were trying to pass. Most of the bills were so far left that we would be California if it were not for Governor Lombardo. A few legislators told me it was just pure evil in that building.

If you have been following us, you know I was very concerned about AB278, Muslim Heritage Month – July.  I am delighted to announce that on June 2, Governor Lombardo vetoed that bill.  As I write this today, our Governor has vetoed more than 56 of the insane bills the Democrats put forward. He promised to veto more bills this session than in the last, when he vetoed more than 90 of their insane bills. Assemblywoman Miller (who does not want to be called a 'woman' but a 'person', and that is one of their issues from the beginning of the session—your tax dollars) referred to several of us who testified in opposition to this bill as unpatriotic and not very Christian. Anyone who wants to further the Islamic religion (Muslim, is not a heritage, rather it is the followers of Islam) in our country does not have our country’s best interest at heart.  I ask Assemblywoman Miller, who is supposed to be working for us, who is the patriot?, especially when 90% of you opposed this bill.

Elections have consequences.   Election is the rule. There is no sitting out the next election in 2026; we need you. #IPromiseToVote

Our Governor, Lombardo, has had a long legislative session. We need to be very appreciative of his hard work fighting for us. Here is the list of all the bills he had to veto because they were horrid for Nevada. At this time, he has vetoed 56 bills, with more coming. Here is the link to read and review what bills have been vetoed so far.  https://www.leg.state.nv.us/App/NELIS/REL/82nd2023/Bills/Vetoed

Fund Raising for Out Reach. It is that time of year when we are gearing up for the 2026 election. We have taken on several projects to reach out to voters. Our immediate goal is to expand Outreach to New Republicans. We want to make sure they are excited and engaged for 2026. We need additional funds for mailings and small items with our logo imprinted. These new Republicans are essential for victory in 2026. We would appreciate donations towards our goal of $1,500, as this is important for the 2026 election. Checks can be made to the CCRP and mailed to the Carson City Republican Party, 1971 California Street, Carson City, NV 89701. You can also make donations on our website, with the donate button, and at our office. Please indicate that the check is for outreach. Thank you very much in advance for your donations. You are the reason we were so successful in 2024. We must all turn out to continue our movement, saving America.

Donations: CCRP would like to thank our very supportive donors.                                      Major Donors: $1,000 a year.                                                                                          Booster Donors: $500 or more

We can’t do this critical work without you; we all work together to save our beloved country.  Thank you once more for your generosity.

www.carsoncityrepublicans.com. Our website is all things Republican Party. You will find National, State, and local information on our site. Also, you will find information about the current legislation and up-and-coming events. You can sign up to volunteer on our website. One suggestion is that you do not know exactly what you would like to do, a good starting point is to volunteer in the office for 3 hours a week. By doing this, you will find your mission, and we all start there. And as our new 2nd Vice Chair Elysse Johnston says, "and we are FUN."

Please follow us on Facebook: Carson City Republicans, Instagram: cc.nv.republicans,  X:  CC.NV.Republicans, YouTube: @carsoncitygop,  (You can hear Governor Lombardo's speech at our Lincoln Day Dinner). Our Governor explains the legislature, which is very interesting and important.

God Bless America, Nevada, Carson City, and you.

Susan Ruch, your Chairman.

Cheers. Here's to "America, the Golden Age."
