CARSON CITY REPUBLICAN PARTY

With the Chairman's Corner, read insight into the Chairman's Opinion and more information

CHAIR'S CORNER

The Legislative session is just about to end and they are pushing through all kinds of nonsense. Please make your voice heard on these and anything else that is important to you.

Thursday: We need people to testify in opposition to bill AB597; Open Primaries, which we defeated this in the 2024 election. It was part of Question #3. They brought it back again. It was scheduled for the Legislation and Operations Committee at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, but the Democrats have changed it to a joint Senate and Assembly hearing Thursday at 4 p.m. They can move bills through much faster this way; they are running out of town. If you cannot attend, please call in and write your opposition on the NELIS website (AB597). Also please write Governor Lombardo and ask him to VETO the bill.

You can write opposition comments in the opinion section of these bills in NELIS on the Nevada Legislative Website.  For Governor Lombardo, copy and paste in the browser: https://gov.nv.gov/Forms/Share/

AB328: Nevada System of Higher Education (NSHE) to spend $1,189,936 (FY25-27) to study slavery in Nevada with recommended reparations. Please write to the Governor and add comments opposing on NELIS website (AB328) (Nevada Legislature). Irony is that the Slaves escaped to Nevada, and Nevadans did not enslave people.  Once more, our Democrat legislature does not know our history.

SB156 creates an Ombudsman ostensibly to prevent Gun Violence in the AG’s Office (Aaron Ford). This is an infringement of our gun rights and creates an unaccountable bureaucracy.  We must not allow some bureaucrat to infringe on our 2nd Amendment Rights.  Write to the Governor and add comments on the NELIS website (SB156), Nevada Legislature.

We need Governor Lombardo to veto these bills; he is listening to us. https://gov.nv.gov/Forms/Share/

Thank you for your help with our Democratic legislation in these daunting times. It is time for many of these people to be removed from their positions. Elections matter from the bottom up.  We must all vote in 2026!

President Trump has more energy than any other President I have ever seen. Remember when he said," Are you tired of winning?" Every day of every week, President Trump is winning for the American People.

I believe most Americans were awestruck by how Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, & Qatar received our President. It was the most beautiful, with the Arabian horses flanking the beast (the car he travels in).

The Saudis treated President Trump with the ultimate respect of a great leader as did the UAE and Qatar. All three countries demonstrated that they respect the USA and finally have a US President that earns their respect.

If you did not have the opportunity to watch all of the fanfare of the incredible trip to the Middle East, this link gives you a quick overview of how our President is respected on the world stage. https://youtu.be/oIk47YstdRc?si=ghffX5iRfKmRobI5 and by all means listen to his speech in Saudi Arabia (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Oab4Gzt5tqA).

Last week was another winning week for Americans. The stock market was way up again as President Trump brought China to an agreement on the trade war. Yes, it is a temporary agreement, but as the rest of the world is coming to agreements on the tariffs, China will be forced into an agreement on a final deal.

We brought home the last American hostage held by Hamas in Palestine. ICE arrested 1,000 illegal immigrants in Florida in an operation called Tidal Wave. What does everyone think about reopening Alcatraz since the Judicial Branch wants to try and stop us from deporting illegals? I think if we reopen Alcatraz, many people will self-deport.

There are numerous victories, too many to mention, so I am including another link for the list of achievements our President has accomplished in just a week. Just think what could be achieved if those rogue judges would get out of the way. President Trump is Winning for Americans. https://www.whitehouse.gov/articles/2025/05/what-they-are-saying-trillions-in-great-deals-secured-for-america-thanks-to-president-trump/?utm_source=wh_social_share_button

Last Friday was manic Friday as the Democrats worked through the day and night to get all their Democratic bills out of their committees by Friday midnight. I say the Democratic bills because they allowed very few Republican bills even to have a hearing.

Whether you're a D or an R, you must ask yourself if they are working for their agenda or the People. You cannot tell me that Republicans had many good bills that would have benefited all people of Nevada.

AB240 and Senate companion bill SB112; restricting men in girls' sports, thanks to the Democrats, did not get a hearing in either the Senate or Assembly, even though the population does not want men in girls' sports.

Another bill passed out of the Senate Government Affairs Committee on Friday night was the unconstitutional AB278, the Muslim Heritage Month of July. Once more, the public had voiced their opinions (94% oppose), and the Democrats did not care about the public's opinion.

Now AB 278 will go before the Nevada Senate. We must contact the Nevada senators and ask them to vote NO on AB278. With this bill, we can ask Governor Lombardo to veto it. Please get in touch with Governor Lombardo at:https://gov.nv.gov/Contact/Contact/ - Nevada.

Please stay tuned; this week, all the news will be released on which bills were voted out of the Legislature Committees. We will also have an indication of which ones will land on Governor Lombardo's desk and which ones he needs to VETO.

Elections have consequences.   Election is the rule. There is no sitting out the next election in 2026; we must get control of the Nevada State Legislature. we need you. #IPromiseToVote!

God Bless America, Nevada, Carson City, and you.

Susan Ruch, your Chairman.

Cheers. Here's to "America, the Golden Age."

  • But a Constitution of Government, once changed from Freedom, can never be restored. Liberty, once lost, is lost forever. John Adams

  • When a citizen gives his suffrage to a man of known immorality, he abuses his trust; he sacrifices not only his own interest, but that of his neighbor; he betrays the interest of his country. Noah Webster

The Key Points on AB278:

  • Our Democrat run Legislature needs to hear directly from you otherwise they will pass this.

  • Violation of the U.S. Constitution and 1st Amendment

  • During the first Assembly Hearing of the Government Affairs Committee, Assemblywoman Nadeem stated, “We need this bill to pass so that we (Muslims) can get into the government schools.”  Since everyone is already welcomed into schools, these comments indicate the Muslim community would like to introduce Islam into our government schools, which would also be unconstitutional.

  • Muslims are not a race and come from many countries/cultures. Muslims are the followers of the religion of Islam. Therefore, this is not celebrating a heritage, rather it is pushing their religion.

  • No state has a law for any “heritage month” for any religion. Rather the few states that have various “heritage months” have created them by resolution or proclamation (not a law). This bill would make Nevada the first state to mandate Muslim observances.

  • A law requires enforcement. What would be needed of Nevadans to observe a month-long Muslim Heritage Month? On the 4th of July, and throughout July, while we celebrate America, would we be required to fly the Islamic flag under the American Flag or eventually over the American Flag? Can you imagine our State Capitol flying the American Flag with the Islamic flag flying under our majestic flag?  We will have a banner crossing Carson Street stating this is Muslim Heritage Month.

  • Will Nevadans be fined or jailed if we do not observe Muslim Heritage Month? Please

contemplate the uproar of protests in front of the Capitol if this passes and at the ballot box. Voters do not want this bill passed.

  • The Muslim population makes up about 0.3% of the entire population of Nevada.

  • There are NO-GO Zones in England, Germany, France, and throughout Europe. If we don’t stop this movement, we will have no-go zones in Las Vegas sooner rather than later.  Sweden is offering the immigrants $35,000 to return to their homeland.

  • We need to look at what is occurring throughout our country. Epic City is a proposed Muslim city in Texas with hopes of installing Sharia law eventually.

  • Patterson N, J. just announced they are the 4th most holy city in the world. The Mayor of Patterson called Patterson Little Palestine.

Friday, May 9, the Senate Government Affairs Committee heard the Muslim Heritage Month bill AB287. Assemblywoman Brittany Miller of Las Vegas District 5 is the Sponsor of AB287 and was present to present her bill to the Senate Committee. At this time, Nevada has approximately 10,000 Muslims, while the population of Nevada in 2024 was 3,267,000. Assemblywoman Miller's bill proposes to make July Muslim Heritage Month, the month we celebrate the United States of America and our Veterans. Our Muslim Population makes up only 0.003 of the population of Nevada, and Miller wants to give them an entire month to celebrate their heritage and contributions to Nevada. We are a Judeo-Christian Country, our values are based on Judeo-Christian values, and our Constitution is based on these values.   This bill is unconstitutional on the face of it as it would establish a preferential status for a specific religion. Clearly not allowed under the first amendment but if not challenged here and now, it will go through.

Are you aware of the fact that in an area right outside of Plano, Texas, a group of Muslim

Developers has purchased 402 acres of land with the intent to build EPIC City? The plan is to have an all-Muslim City, but because of the Fair Housing Act, they cannot restrict the development to only Muslims. Listening to one of the partners of this development, they believe they have ingeniously figured out how to keep the infidels out by subtracting 80% of the HOA to support their enormous Mosque. The developers think this is genius and could have Christians paying for a Mosque. With their long-term plan, they

hope they will be able to govern their city separately from Texas and eventually install Sharia Law. Just recently, the people of Texas have been waking up to the intentions of the Muslim Developers. Governor Abbott is now putting a hold on the project. https://www.cornyn.senate.gov/news/cornyn-calls-on-doj-to-investigate-epic-city-following-accusations-of-religious-discrimination-sharia-law/

Last week, Mayor Andre Sayegh of Patterson, N.J., declared their city, Palestine of the United States, the fourth holiest city in the world. Approximately 30,000 Muslims live in a town with a population of 156,452. As a Christian or a Jewish person living in Patterson, NJ, how would you feel living in Patterson? If a city in the United States were to declare itself the Christian Capital of the world, there would be an uproar beyond anyone's imagination. It is well known that under the Biden Administration, there are an estimated 15,000-plus Islamic terrorists that were allowed into our country. Where in the world do you think these people are living? I am sorry for the immigrants who came to the US to live the American Dream. There are bad people here, and it will reflect on some of these people if another 9/11 occurs.

Assemblywoman Miller argues that the Muslim people are peace-loving, patriotic people. I am sure most of the Muslims are. Most Americans' ancestry comes from other countries all over the world. Our great-grandparents were here to assimilate into the American culture. We are a Judeo-Christian country, and our Constitution was written based directly on these values. As Christians, we are not to lie. In the Quran, under taqiyya, Muslims are allowed to lie to nonbelievers to protect themselves and to promote their faith. Dinesh D'Souza is interviewing an Imam below. It is an eye-opener and a must-watch. You must copy and paste the URL Code into your search engine. Be sure to watch to the very end of the video. https://www.instagram.com/reel/DJZDV8bxbwr/

In the public testimony period of Friday, May 9, nine proud Patriotic Americans testified at the legislature on Bill AB278. Additionally, so many people called the hearing that the callers took up all thirty minutes allotted for the opposition calls. Only three paid lobbyists were at the meeting in favor of the Muslim Month. Everyone who testified made valid points, with the emphasis on the fact that a Muslim is a follower of the religion of Islam and not a culture of a region or country. Islam is not a culture but a religion tied to the Quran. The culture comes from native countries such as Iran, Iraq, Egypt, Somalia, Algeria, Yemen, and many others, which by the way all have Islam as their official state religion. America is a country based on Christian values. We are a diverse country with many different religions practiced, and we embrace this; therefore, we should not, must not, select one religion over another for a heritage month. Selecting an entire month to celebrate a single religion that has brought much heartache to our country and with such a minute population, is not agreeable to most Nevadans. I am afraid this bill, once more, causes more division and does not bring us together as many bills that come from the Democrats. And we have to ask why are they seeking this? Why have they specifically not proposed a religions of America heritiage month?

It's strange how they are trying desperately to gloss over the facts of recent history to get folks to forget that it was an attack of coordinated radical Muslims who drove those planes into the Twin Towers on 9/11. Similarly, it was Hamas, who committed those heinous crimes in Israel on October 7, 2023. The open calls for destruction of the Jews chanted on our own college campuses increases the mistrust of Islam. Most people here in the United States who practice Islam are not hateful, and I know that. Until the Imams of the Mosques in our country start speaking out to the American public and they denounce the hatred of Jews and denounce the Islamic terrorists (estimated at an unacceptably high 15%), we will have a natural distrust of the Islam faith. We need to ask the following question: Are the Muslims here to assimilate into the American culture? Will our major cities end up like many countries with no-go zones like France, Germany, and England? Sweden is offering $35,000 to the immigrants to return to their point of origin. Where are the thousands of Islamic Terrorists who came into our country to live under Joe Biden? They must be living somewhere, probably in a Muslim area. Why are the Muslim Americans who love America so much not turning them in? Are they afraid? Are the Mosque protecting them, so they will not turn them in? Nevadans will not be happy with giving Muslims an entire month to celebrate a religion that brought down the Twin Towers, especially the month of July.

If you are reading this and would not want to celebrate Muslim Heritage Month for the month of July, we need you to oppose this bill asap. I am including the seven senators who need to hear from you in the next 48 hours. Call them, email them, and tell them to vote no; do not pass it out of your work session. AB278 at the Nevada. You can go to the Nevada 83rd Legislature/NELIS site or on our website (https://www.carsoncityrepublicans.com/copy-of-nevada-politics-1) under legislature to oppose AB278: The Muslim Heritage Month. We do not have a Christian, Jewish, or Quaker month, why would we have an entire month to celebrate a group of people who only make up 0.3% of the Nevada population? Oppose AB 287

Please Call and Email these 7 Senators and Gov. Lombardo. We must stop this bill.

Everyone reading this, thank you for your help.   Nevada, and the CCRP, thanks you! God Bless America, Nevada, Carson City and you,

Susan Ruch, Chairman

Now more than ever before, the people are responsible for the character of their Congress (Nevada Legislature). If that body be ignorant, reckless, and corrupt, it is because the people tolerate ignorance, recklessness and corruption.  If it be intelligent, brave, and pure, it is because the people demand these high qualities represent them in the national legislature. (and I add in our Nevada Legislature).     President James Garfield
