CHAIR'S CORNER

We, the CCRP, are excited and optimistic as we march toward victory on November 3, 2026. Early voting starts this Saturday, October 17th (10AM to 2:00 PM). We ask everyone to vote early so we know who has voted and who has not, plus if you vote early you will avoid calls from us and others trying to get you to get your ballot in. I believe we determined voters and will not let the crazies win this election, right? Well, the extremely well funded, "No Kings" insanity people are planning to be at the Community Center polling location on William Street on Saturday. The CCRP will not allow them to intimidate us or the voters of Carson City; therefore, we will have a booth, as always, every day throughout the election to answer questions. If you don't want to be agitated or disgusted by their absurdity and you want to vote this Saturday, you can go to the Carson City Republican Party Headquarters, 1971 California St., and drop your ballot in our Ballot Box. We will then take all ballots to the clerk-recorder's office first thing Monday morning. While the No Kings protests are comical in their absurdity they will not intimidate us from voting. Our office will be open from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. to answer questions or receive your ballots.

Our CCRP booth will be at the Community Center for the next two weeks during polling hours. If you have questions, want to stop by and say hello, or want to pick up a challenge coin ($20 donation), we will be there. We would like to see you. Also, if you'd like to talk with fellow conservatives, we need volunteers for 3-hour shifts at our CCRP Election Booth during the election cycle. Please contact the office at 775-841-1800 to volunteer. On November 3rd (election day) in addition to the Community Center, we will also have a booth at the Stewart Community Wellness Center, 465 Clear Creek Ave, Carson City.

If you want to support our Governor, Joe Lombardo, he will be coming to The Feisty Goat. 1881 E. Long Street at approximately 1:00 p.m. on Saturday (10/17/2026). Please come out and support Governor Joe Lombardo; we need to re-elect him and all the other candidates on the Slate card. Every candidate matters, including Lieutenant Governor Stavros Anthony, Attorney General Adriana Guzmán Fralick, Secretary of State Jim Marchat, Congressman David Flippo, our Nevada State Senator Lisa Krasner, and Assemblywoman Julie Butler.

You should have received a slate card of all the candidates you will be voting for. If you haven't received one, stop by our headquarters at 1971 California Street and pick one up. If you could use additional information about any of the nonpartisan positions, stop by our office or call us at 775-841-1800; have studied these thoroughly and we can help. Some candidates on the slate card are better qualified than others. Most importantly, please vote. Every Republican must vote Straight Red, and we want an 80% Republican turnout in Carson City. You will demonstrate your patriotism by helping us help our community with this monumental election.

October 16, Movie Night is this Friday: Run, Hide, Fight, by Dinesh D’Souza. If you plan to attend, RSVP. We want to have plenty of pizza and Salad for everyone. Call 775-841-1800 to RSVP. Also, for your convenience, you can drop off your ballot; we'll take your ballot to the polls on Saturday morning.

October 22, General Membership Meeting, Casino Fandango, in Craft 55 room. Doors open at 6:30, with the meeting starting at 7 PM. We invite all Republican Candidates or their representatives who would like to speak for 5 minutes to attend. Our meetings are open to the public and are free to attend.

November 7, we are having a Wine Tasting at the Governor's Mansion, 606 Mountain Street, Carson City, from 5 to 8 PM. Tickets are on sale now on our website, via the QR Code, or at our Headquarters. Wines for the Holidays will be a fantastic segue into thinking about our favorite holidays with family and friends.

On December 5, we will hold our Annual Christmas Dinner at the Governor’s Mansion, 606 Mountain Street, Carson City. Catered Affair will be catering for us, serving our favorite Beef Wellington. Santa will be there, and Bill Wharton will be serenading us with our favorite Christmas music. The event runs from 5 to 8 PM, and we ask that you bring a new, unwrapped toy and a pair of socks for a friend in need.

Thank you for your continued support; we cannot do it without you. This will be my last appeal to you to get out and vote and be sure you take your family and friends to the polls. If you know someone who needs help voting, whether they need a ride or someone to pick up their ballot, we are here to help. Please encourage everyone not to mail their ballots; have them deliver their ballot or vote in person. Please call 775 841-1800 if you need assistance, We are keeping our office open until 6 pm during the election so please call if you need help.

Voting is our most sacred privilege here in America, so do not sit this election out.

God Bless Carson City, Nevada, America, and YOU.

Susan Ruch, Your Chairman

As you read this, we are at the height of the 2026 Election Cycle. We are coming down to the wire of Election Day, November 3. I sense that we are in a charging sprint to the finish line. Every day, the CCRP is feverishly making sure Carson City stays Red by contacting everyone by postcard or phone call and reminding you to vote the straight red ticket. All Republicans must vote this election. We are providing candidate information through slate cards, or you can watch candidate

interviews on our website: www.carsoncityrepublicans.com/news. We have also made the interviews available on our YouTube channel, Carson City Republican Party.

You should be receiving your slate card by mail within the next week. If you do not receive one, you may stop by our office at 1971 California Street in Carson City and pick one up. We need every Republican in Carson City to vote this election and every election thereafter. Our Country is in this situation because, as Republicans, we have become lackadaisical about voting, and now we must battle our way back to save our Republic. There are many great quotes, but my favorite quote is by Plato:

“One of the penalties for refusing to participate in politics is that you end up being governed by your inferiors." - Plato,

Voting is our most sacred privilege here in America, so do not sit this election out.

What about the Candidates? We must elect “our” Governor Joe Lombardo, or we will become East California. Remember, Governor Lombardo vetoed 173 bad bills over the last two legislative sessions that would have made our state equal to California. Aaron Ford will strip away all our values and make our state unlivable. Ford believes we should have men in girls’ sports, and we should be a sanctuary state for illegals. All those bad bills the governor vetoed last session will return this coming year and become law. We absolutely must re-elect Governor Lombardo. Stavros Anthony, our Lt. Governor, is fantastic and deserves a second term. Everyone is constantly complaining about our elections and believes there is voter fraud; well do something about it and get our candidate, Jim Marchant, elected Secretary of State. As Secretary of State, he will do everything he can to secure our elections. I have known Jim for years, and we completely agree on how our elections should be run. Unfortunately, the NRS limits what a Secretary of State can do. Therefore, that will take us to the Assembly and the Senate. We need to vote for people with our values. Here in Carson City, we will be voting for Julie Butler for Assembly District 40 and Lisa Krasner for State Senate District 16. For Attorney General, we must vote for Adriana Guzmán Fralick. Democratic Candidate Nicole Cannizaro could be worse than Ford. Last Legislative session, she was nine months pregnant and a sponsor of the Abortion Tourism Bill. It was a horrid sight, seeing her speak untruths about the need for extra abortion doctors. She will also spend thousands of your tax dollars suing the Trump administration. Adriana believes in strong borders, will work with the DOJ, and does not want us to be a sanctuary state. We strongly believe our incumbent, Andy Mathews, Nevada State Controller, as well as Drew Johnson, who is running for State Treasurer, will be elected. It is extremely important that every Republican votes.

If we all vote, the Rurals Rule. Please encourage everyone you know to vote. If someone is having difficulty getting to the polls, call us at 775-841-1800; we can pick up their ballot or provide a ride. We are here to facilitate any Republican that needs assistance getting out to vote. Once more, we must vote so it’s too Big to Rig.

Yesterday, Gavin Newsom signed AB 217 into law in California, officially and legally recognizing Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha, the most holy holidays of the Muslim faith, as state holidays. California is now the second state in the country to recognize Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha as state holidays officially. California has approximately 500,000 Muslims living in all of California, while more than 51% of the state identifies as Christians and Catholics. Meanwhile, Christian holidays such as Christmas and Good Friday have been secularized. Bill AB 2017, which just passed in California, will encourage classroom discussion of these two holidays in the school curriculum. Meanwhile, there are no Jewish State Holidays or recognition, and no discussion in the classrooms about Judaism and Christianity. I am discussing this topic because many people have forgotten Nevada AB278, which would have made the Month of July Muslim Heritage Month, and there would be discussion of Islam in the Classroom. Our Governor vetoed AB278 last year. Most Nevadans were

outraged at the thought of July, the month we celebrate the 4th of July, being Muslim Heritage Month. Even more alarming, if we do not re-elect Joe Lombardo, 86 additional vetoed bills will be overturned. Emphatically, we must re-elect Governor Lombardo. The 2027 Legislature will see this bill again next session, and Arron Ford will not veto the Muslim Heritage bill—one more reason to re-elect Joe Lombardo.

Another positive thing Governor Lombardo has done is opt into the Federal Education Freedom Tax Credit (a tax credit scholarship program). This tax credit helps you pay for private tuition, tutoring, special education, and other K-12 learning experiences. All governors of blue states have refused to opt in, but our Governor opted in. Promise you, Ford will opt out if he were our Governor. This is very important since Nevada is ranked 48th in the nation due to our failed education, thanks to our Democratic Controlled Legislature. Vote Straight RED!

Two key questions are on our Ballot this cycle:

Question 6. Vote NO! Question 6 allows for a full-term baby to be aborted. This amendment to the Constitution takes away all Parental rights to know if a young girl is having an abortion. Any medical professional may perform an abortion (your dental hygienist, Pharmacists, EMTs) or supply chemical abortion pills. The bill is a pedophile’s dream come true. If for no other reason to go to the polls, we must protect young girls. Vote NO to protect your granddaughters, daughters, and young girls from being victimized.

Question 7: Vote Yes! Question 7 requires Nevada to have voter ID. If this passes, we will require Voter ID in the 2028 election, and it will be codified in our Constitution. If you have no other reason to go to the polls, vote Yes for Voter ID. This is a Yes Vote.

When you receive your ballot, you will not see questions 1 through 5, these have already been dealt with so you are not missing any information or other questions.

If you want to help us reach our 80% Republican turnout goal for this election in Carson City, please stop by our office to sign up to volunteer. We need phone callers and door knockers. We are reaching out to every Republican in Carson City to be sure they vote. Our office is buzzing with excitement, and if you want to be part of this extraordinary, historic election, call or stop by to sign up to door knock and call your Republican neighbors to encourage them to get out and VOTE. A simple thing you can do is to take a family member of friend who would not otherwise vote to the polls.

We are only weeks away from the most important election of our time. We need all Republicans to vote. What are some of the issues that are most important to people? I constantly hear the drums beating; people worry about food and the prices that all American families pay. But everywhere I go, people seem to be frantic over data centers. I don't know much about data centers, but I am always looking for the truth. We all know the Democratic Party has no platform for this midterm election. The Democrats are famous for creating a villain to create fear in the public and a distraction from the real issues that affect all of us. We have several factions at work right now that, as educated voters, we must consider. The three movements in this country promoting the undercurrent of the perils of “data centers” are the Luddites, the Isolationists, and the Chinese. What is frightening is that most of us don't fully understand how data centers work or what the truth is.

First, let's look at the Chinese motives. China has thousands of workers in huge buildings creating bots, software programs that run automated tasks on the internet. There are mainly 4 types of bots: Chatbot Programs that talk with users; web crawlers that scan and index webpages; Social Media Bots that post content, share news, or send spam; and malicious bots, which are programs designed to steal data, spread viruses, or crash websites. The Chinese have workers spending every day, all day long, designing these bots. Recently, I learned that the Chinese are using these bots to send out false information on Data Centers over our social media. Why would they want to do this? There are two obvious reasons: first, to create a huge distraction during our very important election, and second, to lead the way in AI.

Then there are the Luddites. The term comes from 19th-century English Textile workers who protested the Industrial Revolution from 1811-1816. Modern Neo-Luddites are actively fighting generative AI through a mix of labor strikes, legal battles, public activism, and direct physical disruption. Like the original 19th-century weavers, these critics are not necessarily against the technology itself—they are fighting job displacement, data exploitation, and corporate control. How are they organizing? The Hollywood Strikes fought to prevent studios from using AI to replicate actors’ voices and to block human writers. White-Collar Sabotage: Office workers are engaging in “Quiet Sabotage” or “Tokenmaxxing,” deliberately overusing the system or software to inflate the company's tech bills and highlight the inefficiencies of replacing human judgment. The Luddites are also targeting data centers and political resistance by channeling skepticism and proposing moratoriums on data centers to force a reevaluation of AI’s environmental toll. This is causing me to rethink my

opinion on Data Centers. We are inundated with constant information, and how do we

know what is true and what is correct?

Lastly, when we look at the isolationists who primarily seem to me, they are people who do not know all the facts; they spread hysteria about societal downfall for allowing Data Centers to be built in your neighborhood. They spread rumors of high energy demand, water overuse, noise pollution, and skepticism about the benefits of having a data center in your county. Fear of the unknown also fuels concerns that artificial intelligence is unregulated and that the economic future is unclear. Throughout history, we have feared the changes brought by the Industrial Revolution, the digital revolution, and the information revolution.

I want all Rural citizens, including myself, to be educated about data centers. The

Carson City Republican Party has invited Clay Mitchell, Story County Commissioner,

to speak with us about this hot topic. Clay is making it his mission to understand Data

Centers and the pros and cons. The commissioner will speak on this subject in

Carson City on September 21, in the Ormsby Room of the Sheriff ’s Office, 911 E. Musser

St., Carson City, NV, to share information with us. He recently gave a very informative

talk at one of the Women’s groups in Minden. I'm excited to offer this informative

meeting to everyone. We will meet from 4 PM to 6 PM in the Ormsby Room, with time

for questions. Light snacks will be available. Please RSVP at 775 841-1800 so we have

enough snacks for everyone.

November 3rd is Election Day, and we need all of you to vote straight RED. This election is one of the most important elections of our time. We must stand up against Communism, which is taking hold of the Democratic Party. We must remember our President’s words,” Fight, fight, fight, and fight we must. We have strong conservative Republican candidates that are running for National, state, and local offices. Please vote for all the suggested candidates. If you would like to meet several of our candidates, there will be a Meet and Greet with Candidates at Cellar 8 on Sunday, September 6, from 4 to 6 PM. If you would like to know who will be there, check our website Sunday Morning; we will list them as soon as I know who is coming. Unfortunately, the Governor will not be there because an emergency has come up. Still, I believe David Flippo, Andy Matthews, Adrianne Guzman, Jim Marchant, Lt. Governor Stavros Anthony, and more will be there.

Two key questions are on our Ballot this cycle -

Question 6: Vote NO!

Note: When you receive your ballot, you will not see questions 1 through 5, so you are not missing any information or other questions.

If you want to help us reach our 80% turnout goal for this election in Carson City, please stop by our office to sign up to volunteer. We are mailing postcards to low-propensity voters and need many people to handwrite cards, either at our office or at home. We also need phone bankers and door knockers. Our office is buzzing with excitement, and if you want to be part of this 2026 Victory, come to 1971 California St. and sign up to volunteer. On September 12th, Turning Point Action will hold Super Chase, starting at our office on California St. Ethan Nelson of Turning Point Action will lead training on door knocking and other ways to reach voters. Turning Point is having a food truck, one of our Favorites, Carson Barbeque, for lunch for those who participate as a reward for our hard work. If you don’t want to walk, you are welcome to stay and write postcards or make phone calls. Please call 775 841-1800 to sign up; we want to be sure there is enough food.
