Through conversations in the public forum, I realize that many people do not understand precisely how the United States Government was established and how the different branches work together. Our country is not a democracy; we are a Constitutional Republic. With this system of Government, each state is managed separately by a Governor, with the same positions as the national Government (Attorney General, Secretary of State, and so on). Each state has its own National Guard.
