CHAIR'S CORNER

Christmas is right around the corner, and I want to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a Happy Hanukkah. We live in America, the best country in the world. How blessed are we to live in the USA? Looking back on 2025, I want to thank those of you who have supported us and your political goals through volunteering and generous donations. 2026 will be here within a few weeks, and we will be looking at one of the most critical elections of our lifetime.

ree

Please stay involved and engaged; we need your help. We will be celebrating the 250th Anniversary of America, which will naturally evoke a sense of hope for our country. I always hope and dream that the new year will bring all of our hopes and dreams to fruition for your families and mine. May God bless America and lead us to our continual quest to save & continuously improve America and "Make America Great Again."

On that note, let's look at all the great things our President Trump has done for us in 2026.

  • As of September 30, 2025, President Trump has signed 209 executive orders, 52 memoranda, and 91 proclamations since his inauguration on January 20, 2025. The first Executive Order (#14147) signed by President Trump on January 20 was titled "Ending the Weaponization of the Federal Government."

  • The second executive Order (#14148) signed was titled Rescissions of Harmful Executive Orders and Actions, and rescinds 78 executive orders signed under the Biden administration that implemented so-called "diversity, equity, and inclusion" policy actions throughout the federal government. #14151 directed further actions in "Ending Radical and Wasteful Government DEI Programs and Preferencing" in hiring and promotion decisions. Executive Order #14170 restored merit as the principal criterion in federal hiring and promotion.

  • Executive Order (#14149) signed, was entitled, Restoring Freedom of Speech and Ending Federal Censorship, and directed actions to "secure the right of the American people to engage in constitutionally protected speech."

  • Executive Order (#14150) dealt with U.S. foreign policy. Entitled "America First Policy Directive to the Secretary of State," this executive order directed a unified federal government approach to U.S. foreign policy that "shall champion core American interests and always put America and American citizens first.

  • An order expediting the permitting and leasing of energy natural resource projects in Alaska, another focused on opening up other federal lands, including the U.S. continental shelf, for resource exploitation, and a third declaring a National Energy Emergency aimed at expediting government approval processes to "facilitate the identification, leasing, siting, production, transportation, refining, and generation of domestic energy resources."

  • An order eliminating the "electric vehicle (EV) mandate" and promoting consumer choice, unbiased by government subsidies.

  • Two orders were signed, designating certain groups as terrorists.

  • An order establishing the Department of Government Efficiency aimed at modernizing Federal technology and software to maximize governmental efficiency and productivity, while identifying potential cost savings and reductions in redundant programs and personnel, and other inefficiencies.

  • Various orders aimed at restoring U.S. immigration laws and closing the southern border: realigning refugee admissions with national security and public safety, securing the border through physical barriers and policy actions, and the Trump mission re-prioritizing the mission of the U.S. military to protect the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the United States. As a direct result, the U.S. Customs and Border Patrol reported that Illegal crossings of the southern border "dropped to the lowest level ever recorded."

  • An order recognizing two sexes, male and female, "not changeable and are grounded in fundamental and incontrovertible reality."

  • An order keeping men out of women's sports (and locker rooms). Men in women's sports is an 80/20 issue in America, with nearly 80 percent recognizing the fundamental unfairness and saying they don't want men playing in women's sports.

  • An Order directed a reevaluation of all U.S. foreign aid and assistance programs to ensure their alignment with America First policies.

  • Facilitated a Cambodia-Thailand ceasefire and resource-sharing pact in February.

  • Helped avert an India-Pakistan nuclear war in May.

  • Signed a Congo-Rwanda peace accord in the White House on June 27, ending 30 years of war between the two countries. • Continued efforts to end the Russo-Ukrainian war.

  • Negotiated the signing of a Rwanda peace accord in the White House on June 27, ending 30 years of war between the two countries.

  • Facilitated an Israeli-Iranian ceasefire in the two countries' 12-day war after having ordered a B-2 airstrike that destroyed three Iranian nuclear facilities.

  • Facilitated a joint declaration for complete peace, border delimitation, and economic integration between Azerbaijan and Armenia in August, ending nearly 40 years of conflict. The Big New Bill goes into law in 2026. With this, we, the people, will experience No Tax on Tips, No Tax on Overtime, and the equivalent of No Tax on Social Security. I have included two references to help you fully understand everything our President Trump has done for us in just eleven months.

President Trump sleeps about four hours a night. He is fighting for the people like no other president has ever done before. VP Vance is in training alongside Secretary of State Marco Rubio. My impression is that the two of them, VP Vance and SOS Rubio, must be in lockstep with the President and the MAGA Doctrine, so our country is in good hands for the 2028 election. We must all stay involved and vote in 2026 to save Nevada and to help the President advance his agenda. #PledgeToVote2026

After years of embarrassingly boorish behavior in the White House, we now have a President and First Lady who have style and grace. Melania is the most beautiful and elegant and personally successful First Lady we have ever had. Young women can look up to her as a role model. I have included a few pictures of Christmas at the White House, a far cry from what Jill Biden's Christmas was last year.

Phone Banking: As we move into the final weeks of the year, I promise we are ready to prepare for a very busy 2026. We will be phone banking on Saturday morning at the beginning of January. If you are inclined to make phone calls for a few hours on a Saturday morning, please call us at 775 841-1800. We are going to make it a fun morning with your fellow patriots. Plus, we will have coffee and sweet treats to add to the enticement.

Movie Night is back (January 9, 2026) with the screening of the documentary The Dark Origins of Communism, written by Joshua Phillipp. We will be showing the film on January 9, at the Republican Headquarters, with doors opening at 5:30 and the movie starting at 6 PM. This film explains the complex mix of theorists, such as Karl Marx, who laid the groundwork for these regimes, and reveals the brutal realities of Communist States. Communism, Socialism, and Marxism are subjects we need to understand as we navigate these unsettling times here in our own country. We are going to move the showing to a Friday night, as we have had several requests. We will have pizza, salad, and drinks for you to share with your patriots. We do ask for a $10 Donation. Thanks, and we hope to see you.

On January 17, we will hold a Kick-Off Party to kick off the year-long celebration of our 250th Anniversary at the Casino Fandango. There will be music, dancing, all-American food, games, and prizes. We are inviting candidates to attend we will give them a few minutes to introduce themselves. You may buy tickets online and at the CCRP Headquarters, 1971 California Street. The price for this fun evening will be $50 per person.

Save the Date: As we move into the new year, the Republican Party will hold our Precinct Meeting on February 21 at the Senior Center. Doors will open at 8 AM with the meeting starting at 9 AM. This meeting is for all Republicans in Carson City. We invite you to attend and provide input on the Republican Party of the Consolidated Municipality of Carson City's 2026 platform. Our County Convention (Consolidated Municipality of Carson) is on March 7, following the Precinct Meeting. The time and location for this will be forthcoming. I would like to see all of you attend these two essential meetings. You must be a Republican on the voter rolls to participate in these meetings.

Our monthly Membership meeting will be on January 22 at the Casino Fandango in the Craft 55 Room. Our guest speaker will be District Attorney Garrit Pruyt. After the meeting, we invite you to stop by for a nightcap and continue socializing with our fellow attendees in the bar outside the Craft 55 room. The Casino Fandango will provide wait staff so you can order food or a drink, or hang out with everyone. It is a great way to make new friends and continue the conversations.

Save the Date for our Annual Lincoln Day Dinner on March 21, 2026. Our annual dinner's theme is "Celebration of America: 250 Years."  Tickets will go on sale in the middle of January. You can purchase your tickets online or at the Republican Headquarters when they are available. Our special keynote speaker and VIP Reception details will be announced in January.

We had another fantastic Christmas Party at the Governor's Mansion. We had 107 attendees. The food prepared by A Catered Affair was fabulous, the music by Bill Wharton was excellent, and the staff from the mansion was amazing. Here are a few pictures from the event.

As we enter the final week of the Christmas and Hanukkah celebrations, I want to wish everyone a happy and blessed holiday. Enjoy your time with family and friends, and we will see you in 2026. We are in exciting times, and I am very pleased we are all in them together.

Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, and Happy New Year!!

God Bless the United States of America, Nevada, Carson City, and you.

Susan Ruch, Chairman
