I want to wish everyone a grand New Year. I truly believe we have much to look forward to in 2026. Looking at American history, we have two presidents who gave the people a voice: President Reagan and our current President, President Trump. For various reasons, some people seem uncomfortable with the term "MAGA," which simply stands for "Make America Great Again." MAGA is giving the people who vote for our politicians a voice. In my opinion, President Trump is definitely guiding us into a golden age for America. Brilliantly, from President Trump, MAGA was born, and what true red-blooded American does not want America to be a strong, free

country as our forefathers created? The Preamble of the US Constitution states our rights as American Citizens. Now, with President Trump, we can put our country first, as he protects our rights with the America First doctrine. President Trump has proven himself to be a true leader for all American citizens. We can all feel proud that we have a president who is respected worldwide. As we are going through the Christmas season, we can be grateful that

President Trump has given us the Freedom to celebrate the religious holiday, Christmas.  Over the years, Christmas has become a secular holiday; Christmas is a celebration of the birth of the Savior, Jesus Christ. America is based on Judeo-Christian values, not on the values of other religions. As President Trump says," Christmas is back." 

2025 has given us more good news. Under this administration, our economy is booming,

gas prices have dropped substantially, food prices will come down due to lower oil prices, and the tariffs are working. Our President is developing a plan to build entry-level homes for young families so they can own their own homes. Citizens will see Social Security checks and paychecks increase because of the elimination of taxes on Social Security and overtime. The IRS tax rates are going to be lowered, boosting everyone's paychecks. Tom Homan, the Border Czar, and ICE, are removing unwanted illegal people from our country daily. The people being removed from our country have been a drag on society. By removing 15 million people from our country who do not want to assimilate, we will ease the housing shortage, which, due to supply-and-demand dynamics, will bring down prices. We must remember that under the Biden Administration, they allowed somewhere between 15 and 20 million illegals over 4 years to cross into our country. We can never allow this to happen again.  

Looking ahead to 2028, we have Vice President JD Vance, who is increasingly looking presidential and supporting the America First Doctrine. If you did not have a chance to listen to Vance's speech at Turning Point's Amerifest, you can listen to it on our website under national news:  https://www.carsoncityrepublicans.com/nationalnews. Many people say it was Vance's best speech yet. Vance is demonstrating that he is a strong leader, like President Trump, and it's exciting because young people seem to be resonating with his message. Erica Kirk has stated she will support Vance in the 2028 election. Young people on college campuses throughout the United States are turning to Turning Point and developing a national pride that was suppressed over the years under Obama, Biden, and the DEI movement. Turning Point is demonstrating to young men that it's a good thing to be real men with strong biblical principles, and to be husbands and fathers who will provide for their families.

With JD Vance and Erica Kirk on college campuses, are giving this message to young people, this is a stunning movement to help us save our country. At this time, TPUSA has a minimum of 37,000 to 50,000 new applications for new Chapters on College Campuses and High Schools throughout America. Vice President Vance's wife, Usha, is publicly involved in promoting children's literacy and in initiatives to limit cellphone use in Department of Defense Education Schools. Recently, Jen Psaki (the former White House Press Secretary) tried to mock and discredit her. However, the Vice President made it clear to the media that he will not tolerate anyone dishonoring his wife. JD Vance is a role model for young men, demonstrating that it is right to stand up boldly to defend your wife and family. Our VP loves the Marines, and when he has time, he trains with them. Vice President Vance is someone we should all get behind and support going forward.  

Our national Secretary of State, Marco Rubio, is proving to be a fantastic leader as well. As we move forward, he's another person in the Trump cabinet who understands the America First movement and is carrying it forward. Rubio travels around the world helping President Trump advance our goals, and does so with such Grace and effortless ease that he is becoming one of the best Secretaries of State of our lifetime.  With real excitement, we look forward to 2026 and all the possibilities available to Americans. Yes, we still need your

help to ensure the America First Agenda stands. We are calling Republicans and Non-partisans to ensure they vote in 2026. If you believe our country is on the right course, headed in the right direction, we need you to vote in 2026. We must maintain the majority in the Senate and in the House of Representatives and here in Nevada we must turn over our state legislature. Please help by voting in the primary in June for candidates who have our MAGA principles and who are electable. Please vote for our Republican incumbents. And please do not vote for people who are challenging our Republican incumbents. The people who run against Republican incumbents are just a distraction and are wasting valuable funds that we need for the general election in November.

I realize that in November we will not be voting for a president, but this election is as important as the 2024 election was, so please, as you are making your 2026 New Year's Eve resolution, include: #IPledgeToVoteIn2026. By winning in 2026, we can be assured that the America First Doctrine will continue through 2028. We need your help.  

Movie Night is back (January 9, 2026; Yes, we have moved it to Friday nights) with the screening of the documentary The Dark Origins of Communism, written by Joshua Phillipp. We will be showing the film on January 9, at the Republican Headquarters, with doors opening at 5:30 and the movie starting at 6 PM. This film explains the complex mix of theorists, such as Karl Marx, who laid the groundwork for these regimes, and reveals the brutal realities of Communist States. Communism, Socialism, and Marxism are subjects we need to understand as we navigate these unsettling times here in our own country. We moved the showing to Friday night due to several requests. We will have pizza, salad, and drinks for you to share with your patriots. We do ask for a $10 Donation. Please RSVP so we know how many pizzas to purchase.  Thanks, and we hope to see you.  

On January 17, we will hold a Kick-Off Party to kick off the year-long celebration of our 250th Anniversary at the Casino Fandango. There will be music, dancing, all-American food, games, and prizes. We are inviting candidates to attend.  We will give them a few minutes to introduce themselves. You may buy tickets online and at the CCRP Headquarters, 1971 California Street. The price for this fun evening will be $50 per person.  Join us to celebrate the greatest experiment ever: The Birth of America. 

Our monthly Membership meeting will be on January 22 at the Casino Fandango in the Craft 55 Room. Our guest speaker will be District Attorney Garrit Pruyt. After the meeting, we invite you to hang out for a nightcap and continue socializing with our fellow attendees in the bar outside the Craft 55 room. The Casino Fandango will provide wait staff so you can order food or a drink and hang out with everyone. It is a great way to make new friends and continue conversations.  

Save the Date: As we move into the new year, the Republican Party will hold our Precinct Meeting on February 21 at the Senior Center. Doors will open at 8 AM with the meeting starting at 9 AM. This meeting is for all Republicans in Carson City. We invite you to attend and provide input on the Republican Party of the Consolidated Municipality of Carson City's 2026 platform. Our County Convention (Consolidated Municipality of Carson) is on March 7, following the Precinct Meeting. The time and location for this will be forthcoming. I would like to see all of you attend these two essential meetings. You must be a Republican on the voter rolls to participate in these meetings. 

Save the Date: The Carson City Republican Party will hold our Annual Lincoln Day Dinner on March 21, 2026, at the Casino Fandango, 3800 S. Carson Street, from 5 to 9 PM. There will be a scrumptious meal, a live auction, and much more. We will also be including a VIP reception. CCRP Two Weeks in a Glance, March 31, 2025

What an excellent time to be an American. Every week Karoline Leavitt, the White House Press Secretary, gives a weekly report called the ‘Maga Minute.' This week, Hyundai, Rolls Royce, and Schneider have agreed to invest billions right here in America in manufacturing automobiles. We will be imposing a 25% tariff on foreign auto imports, which is a tax. We only charge a 2.5% tax on expensive cars imported to the US from Europe, while Europe places a 10% tariff on American cars imported to Europe. President Trump is leveling the playing field for the US workers. President Trump is a deal-maker, so hold on. We don’t want to be a country that consumes products; we want to make goods here in our own country (a national security imperative). Also, this past week, President Trump invited Medal of Honor Recipients to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. The President took a measure to make DC Safe and Beautiful Again, and lastly, they captured a notorious MS-13 Gang Leader. Every week, he increasingly does this for us, the citizens of the United States. We are in the American Golden Age. #RepublicansMustVoteInEveryElection. #AllElectionsHaveConsequences. #IPledgeToVoteIn2026.

Our Membership for March was last Thursday, March 27. Our speaker was builder Tom Metcalf. The discussion for the evening centered on the Hop and May Adams Foundation's proposed plan for the “Town Plaza,” located near the Carson Nugget. Mr. Metcalf shared ideas about the plaza plans and answered numerous questions. For me, essential facts that I took away were that the Hop and May Adams Foundation’s project is separate from Carson City’s Town Hall project, the Adams Foundation’s mission is to use their funds for the betterment of Carson City, and the vision is to create a vibrant downtown with a plaza as a gathering place for friends and families. When considering our future, we must keep Carson City vibrant so that there will never be a chance for our Capitol to be moved to Las Vegas. Also, we do need a small convention center here in Carson City. We do not have a facility that can hold an event with more than 400 people. This would be beneficial for Carson City. We will be posting the meeting online soon.

Most voters are extremely busy with their personal lives. Our website (www.carsoncityrepublicans.com) posts essential information for Carson City, Nevada and Nationally. We are working at making the website a go-to site for events, urgent info on legislation, and all things for the Carson City Republican Party. We anticipate that in the future, you will be able to find all the things that are politically crucial to you.

It is hard to believe we have another election in just eighteen months. Local elections are just as important, if not more so. Why? Because they affect you more directly in the short the short term. I can promise you that the CCRP is going to work just as hard to get every Republican out to vote. Our Governor, Joe Lombardo, will be up for reelection in 2026. It is your responsibility to research the candidates running for office, but I can assure you that we must ensure the reelection of the current Governor and the Lt. Governor. On June 21, 2023, the Governor Vetoed 75 Bills that the Democratic Legislature tried to pass. These were largely Marxist-driven bills that would have further taken our state to a state like California or Washington. Attorney General Aaron Ford is planning to run for Governor. Ford wants to turn Nevada into a Sanctuary State. Ford believes transgender individuals should be allowed in the military, girls' locker rooms and girls' sports. 80% of the American population does not believe biological men belong in Girl's Sports. In November, Governor Joe Lombardo praised the Wolf Pack volleyball women players for boycotting San Jose State, who has a trans player on their team. Our Governor was one of 9 Governors who asked the NCAA to bar transgender athletes from women's sports. People have asked me recently what Governor Lombardo has done. I am enclosing a list of some of the key achievements the Governor has carried out in the last four years:

• Governor Lombardo spearheaded the most significant investment in education in Nevada's history, with over $2 billion added to produce a record education budget.

• Legislation signed by Lombardo paved the way for North Las Vegas and Henderson to apply to become public charter school sponsors, expanding educational choice in the state.

• In two years, Joe Lombardo has reduced the employee vacancy rate from 25 percent to half that.

• Governor Lombardo signed legislation improving charter school students' transportation and invested in pre-K education.

• When Democrats pushed rent control bills that would've increased housing costs and reduced availability of rentals, Lombardo stood firm and vetoed their dangerous bills.

• When Democrats tried to restrict Nevadans' 2nd Amendment liberties to defend themselves with new, unconstitutional gun control laws, Lombardo vetoed them.

I have also enclosed the Governor's letter because Attorney General Ford stated he would not comply with the Trump Administration and the deportation agenda. 

Governor Lombardo supports the Trump Agenda, and with our state going Red in the presidential election, we must be actively supporting our Governor. I look forward to working with you on his re-election campaign. Voters, we must make this election “Too Big To Rig.”

As we move into the Mid-Term Elections, we must be engaged and understand who stands

for Women. It appears that Democrats politicians are prepared to die on this hill even though nearly 80% of Americans do not believe men belong in Women's Sports. Lt. Governor Stavros Anthony stands with Women.

Stavros Anthony has launched a task force to protect women's sports. The irony is that Title 9 was put into place in 1972 to protect women, and now the woke agenda is to have biological men play in women's sports.

Nevada Senator Carrie Buck has introduced a bill SB112. Also introduced and headed to committee is the Assembly counterpart AB240. These bills establish the potential for penalties if schools should retaliate against a student who brings forward an issue of a school violating provisions in the law which disallow the participation of an alternate biological sex participating in a sport designated for a single sex.

Side note: Lt Governor Stavros Anthony is also up for reelection in 2026. We need to reelect him; he is excellent.

Our next general membership meeting will take place on April 24 at 6:30 pm for social time, followed by the meeting at 7:00 pm.

Lt. Governor Stavros Anthony will be our speaker this month. The Lieutenant Governor will be speaking on important topics, one of which is “Keeping Men Out of Women’s Sports.”

We will be holding an election for our Executive Board in April. We have strict criteria for running for a position on the executive board. You must be an active member for 6 months and be in good standing. The positions are Chairman, 1st Vice Chair, 2nd Vice Chair, 3rd Vice Chair, Treasurer, and Secretary. If you are interested in any of these positions, please send your bio to the Secretary at secretary@carsoncityrepublicans.com. Another key point is that you can only vote if you are a member of the CCRP. We kindly request that all members attend this important meeting, as you will be voting for your executive members.

Our 'Our Constitution is Alive' class is an 11-week course that begins on April 14 at 6:00 p.m. We, the People, need to know the laws of the US Constitution. The class will be taught at the Calvary Chapel, which has graciously allowed us to use its fellowship hall. Calvary Chapel is located at 1635 E. Clearview Rd, Carson City. You may buy the study guide for $20 for the first class that evening. This class is excellent; you will learn interesting facts about the US Constitution and how the laws affect your lives.
