Thanksgiving is here, and we are heading into some of our favorite holidays: Thanksgiving and the holiday season of Christmas and Hanukkah. Our lovely First Lady, Melania Trump, is very busy with her many duties & obligations. I thought it would be interesting to take a quick look at what she has been doing recently. This past week, Melania traveled with Usha Vance to visit military families at Camp Lejeune. They visited the families, the Marines, and the

schools on the base. These two wonderful women emphasized the importance of our military and their appreciation for their service. This past week, Melania greeted the White House Christmas Tree. The Christmas tree is from Western Michigan and will be placed in the Blue Room on the State Floor of the White House. The first Christmas tree placed in the Blue Room was in 1912 by President Howard Taft's children. 

Today, Tuesday (11/26), President Trump and the First Lady will pardon two Turkeys, a tradition for over 35 years (since President George H. W. Bush). Isn't it wonderful to have a President and First Lady in the White House who love America? They demonstrate their love for the USA and its people every day. Plus, they show it with compassion, taste, and style (and very often real humor).  

As always, President Trump has had a hectic week. The President signed legislation to release the Epstein files and an executive order removing tariffs on Brazilian coffee, beef, and agricultural products to continue helping to bring down food costs for all of us. The USDA announced that the Trump Administration began releasing billions of dollars to farmers for natural disasters that occurred in 2023 and 2024. The President is prepared to designate Maduro-tied cartel De Los Soles as a foreign terrorist group. Also, today, President Trump signed an executive order naming some chapters of the Muslim Brotherhood a Foreign Terrorist group. As our President is working hard toward world peace, he and the State Department are driving to broker a peace deal between Russia and Ukraine; we hope and pray for a successful end to the carnage in Ukraine.  

Nevada News: The Legislative Special Session has come to an end with ups and downs. The Governor's Crime Bill passed and was signed into law. AB4, the Film Industry Tax Credit System, died. SB10, a bill to crack down on Corporate buyout of rental homes, also died. But as always, the never-ending surge to destroy Nevada by the Democrats slid in SJR1. Democratic Nevada State Senator Nicole Cannizzaro slipped in SJR1 at the last minute to codify mail-in ballots and, worse, ballot drop boxes everywhere. Voting yes on this Question on our ballot would make Mail-In Ballots part of our Constitution. We cannot let that occur, or we will suffer with institutionalized threats to Nevada election integrity. We must vote NO on this question, which will be on your 2026 ballot.   

Cannizzaro is now running for Nevada State Attorney. Cannizzaro will be as bad, if not worse, than Aaron Ford if that is possible. As a reminder, she was nine months pregnant and sponsored the Abortion Tourism Bill SB217, allowing women to come to our state from anywhere to have an abortion. And as a reminder, the democrats have question 6 on our ballot in 2026 that allows Late Term Abortion, a woman may abort a baby up to 9 months and after. Now, Cannizzaro wants to be the Attorney General. Once more, the Democratic Communist Party does not take a day off, and therefore we must not either. This destruction of our beautiful state makes me furious and makes me more determined to defeat these people. Remember, we must all vote to make it Too Big To Rig. We will need your help and are calling on all patriots to step up in 2026.   

The Carson City Republican Party, out of concern for individuals who temporarily lost their SNAP benefits, asked CCRP members and the public to donate grocery store gift cards to our headquarters on California Street. We launched our program on November 2 and promoted it through our website and social media. During office hours, we distributed cards to over 60 people. The Carson City Republicans were grateful that so many people stepped up to help take care of our citizens during this time. The CCRP strives to be here for the people of Carson City. Thank you to everyone who helped us with this mission.

Christmas Party, December 6, from 5 to 8 PM at the Governor's Mansion, 606 Mountain Street, Carson City. We will be serving Beef Wellington, and music will fill the air. It promises to be a lovely evening with your friends & neighbors at our beautiful Governor's Mansion. New Year 2026: As we move into the new year, we will start January with the beginning of America's 250th Anniversary celebration. On January 1, you will be able to see our beautiful 250th Anniversary Banner, which will adorn the side of the headquarters. On January 17^, we will be hosting a Kick-Off Party for the new year at the Casino Fandango, from 5 to 9 PM. We will have games, music, and an All-American menu of hot dogs, hamburgers, and apple pie à la mode. Our movie night will resume in January, and there will be much more. In 2025, we are delighted and grateful for the Trump Administration, which has continually worked to benefit the American people and the United States. Have you given any thought to what the Trump Administration has done for us this week?  I decided to explore the top achievements for the week with President Donald Trump, Vice President JD Vance, and Secretary of State Marco Rubio.  We will start with President Trump: 

President Trump: He is working on sanctions for countries and individuals who are in the process of or are accused of laundering money for North Korea's nuclear weapons program. President Trump participated in the ceremonial portion of our Veterans Day program at Arlington, Virginia, and placed a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. The president issued a proclamation establishing this week as Anti-Communism Week.  A new Ambassador for India was nominated by the President and confirmed. The President signed the Government Funding Bill to end the 43-day shutdown caused by the Democrat Party (driven by the radical Left, for political gain, and with full knowledge it was hurting the country). He met with the Syrian President, Ahmed al-Sharaa, to discuss sanctions, how to bring stability in the region, and negotiations of a security pact between Syria and Israel. Our President is always moving forward on World Peace, which benefits the US and the rest of the world.  As I write this, the week is not yet over. What other great things will this administration accomplish?  

Vice President JD Vance: participated in the negotiations for the government shutdown. He was very involved with the discussions on how to feed specific operations, food, Veterans programs, and more. The Vice President is the President of the Senate. As the President of the Senate, the Vice President oversaw the negotiations for several confirmation hearings, as mentioned above. The Ambassador for India was confirmed. The Vice President participated in the 'Make America Healthy Again' summit, a three-day Event focused on addressing the healthcare challenges facing our nation. He also visited Arlington Cemetery with the President. The VP visited Walter Reed Hospital to visit patients. He worked with the Appropriations Committee, focusing on securing Food Aid and assisting with the veteran’s program, a deeply cherished initiative supported by the president and the vice president. This is just a few of the activities Vice President Vance participated in during the time I am writing this. 

Secretary of State Marco Rubio also had a very intense week. The Secretary of State traveled to Canada to meet with the G7 Foreign Ministers. The purpose of his attendance is to ensure that he is advancing US interests, particularly in the context of the Ukraine War, maritime security, Haiti, critical minerals, and the all-important US supply chain.  Marco briefed Congress on the military strikes, which are the ongoing issue of drug cartels coming from Venezuela to America.  Rubio met with the Syrian Foreign Minister Asaad al-Shaibani and Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan to discuss regional stability and counterterrorism efforts. Marco also hosted foreign ministers from five Central Asian countries, marking the 10th anniversary of the CS 1. The five countries were: Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan. During the meeting, the Secretary of State assured the counties that he will be visiting their countries next year. The Secretary of State also met with Middle Eastern counterparts, the Foreign Minister of Syria, Asaad al-Shaibani, and the Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, to discuss regional stability and counterterrorism efforts. Americans should be grateful and understand all of the responsibilities our Secretary of State is tasked with. Once more, President Trump saw the extraordinary talent of Marco Rubio, who is proving to be one of the best Secretaries of State we have had in a very long time. Marco understands the America First Agenda and is implementing and negotiating with these convictions as he travels around the world. Most people do not realize that President Trump has great confidence in the SoS that he has asked Marco to take on these additional roles: Acting National Security Advisor, Administrator of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID, the department that had extreme fraudulent & agenda driven waste of taxpayers’ money), and Acting U.S. Archivist. Why are these positions open? I would assume that having anyone President Trump puts forward for confirmation will have to go before the Senate, and that will be an ongoing battle with the lunatic Democrat [Communist] Senators and a sounding board for their distractions of their failed policies.   

Looking for a good read?  Eric Trump’s "Under Siege" is an easy read that offers fascinating insight into what President Trump and his family have endured. The Trump family has given their all for America and very nearly the ultimate sacrifice, with the two assassination attempts. We must not become complacent. We have the 2026 Election to win, and the celebration of our Country's 250th anniversary, a significant milestone that reminds us of our rich history and the values we stand for. We must win for our country. Thanks to President Trump, we now understand just how deep and corrupt the deep state is. As it turns out, in my humble opinion, it was probably lucky he did not win in 2020, as it gave President Trump 4 years to analyze and evaluate how to start unraveling of the ugly, evil, and corrupt portions of our government. Donald J. Trump and his Family were made for a time such as this. 

Affordability: Leftists are desperate because this Administration is demonstrating that Democrat policies have failed, and they are not unified. Grasping for their platform, they are attempting to saddle the Republican Party with the issue of affordability. When you take a deep dive into each state and affordability, a stark reality emerges from the statistics collected on all 50 states. Many of you will not be surprised, but looking at these data, we can see the truth. We from the free states must share this information with as many people as possible. Look at the table below, and you will know the truth. These are the top ten states with the highest tax burden. These states have one thing in common: they are all Democrat run states. These are the states that put illegals first, and their citizens are left to pick up the cost. The Democrats are continue blaming the Trump Administration for causing all the affordability problems that their policies have created.  We need to speak with the youth, so they understand that Communism, Marxism, and Socialism do not work and have only resulted in suffering and massive death. The fact that New York just elected a communist mayor is terrifying. Our loved ones who fought in World War II were true heroes battling for the free world. We are now in a battle for our country. The enemy is already here within our country and feels secure enough to not even bother with hiding their positions. We are in a war of information, so the time is to be bold and to speak up. Please stand with us and continually share accurate information with your family, friends, children, and grandchildren about real, true history.

Movies: I highly recommend seeing "Nuremberg"; it is now in theaters.  Take your older grandchildren or children; it is not the time to shield them from the horror of World War II; they need to know the truth.  We just had a very successful movie night at our headquarters, featuring a screening of Eric Metaxas' Letter to the American Church.  The CCRP has a copy of the DVD and would be willing to share it with you.  We will resume movie night in January. “The time is here to be bold” -Charlie Kirk.  We also have many other documentaries available for a two-week loan.  Stop by the our office at 1971 California Street and take a look. 

General Membership Meeting, November 20, 6:30 doors open, Casino Fandango, Craft 55 Room.  We are pleased to have Megan Barth, Executive Editor of the California Globe, as our speaker this month.  We will be allowing one minute for candidates to introduce themselves to our members. We need to be sure to vote for candidates that best represent our values.   

We will not hold a meeting in December; the Christmas Party on December 6 will serve as a

substitute for the meeting. The next meeting in the new year will be on January 22, 2026. Our speaker for that meeting will be District Attorney Garrit Pruyt—a great way to start the 250^th Anniversary of the United States of America.  Our meetings are always open to the public and are free of charge.

Chairman’s Corner; November 3, 2025

Through conversations in the public forum, I realize that many people do not understand precisely how the United States Government was established and how the different branches work together. Our country is not a democracy; we are a Constitutional Republic. With this system of Government, each state is managed separately by a Governor, with the same positions as the national Government (Attorney General, Secretary of State, and so on). Each state has its own National Guard. Each state must follow the United States Constitution and Bill of Rights, while also having its own State Constitution. Our federal Government has three branches: the Executive, Legislative, and the Judicial branch.

Our Executive branch equates to the President and all the administrative agencies; the Legislative branch encompasses both houses of Congress, the Senate and the House of Representatives; and the Judicial branch houses the Supreme Court and all other federal courts/judges. The Judicial branch is intended to be the weakest, as our forefathers wrote in the Constitution.   

At this time, with all of the activist judges, you would believe they have much more power than they truly do. Judges were never to have lifetime appointments; they can be impeached by Congress if so desired. Looking at Congress's duties, they write laws and pass budgets. They control our government’s money (taxes, tariffs, & government bonds issued) for everything. So, people who blame President Trump for the government shutdown are blaming the wrong person and branch of Government. Our forefathers, when creating the Constitution, made a brilliant decision: they did not want the President or his cabinet to have access to the money. Congress controls the purse-strings, not any other branch.  

We live in a country that no longer stresses education of how our Government operates. I realize that there should be much more emphasis in our society. This situation reminds me of a quote from our forefather, James Madison: "The advancement and diffusion of knowledge is the only guardian of true liberty."  Examining the history of the United States, it becomes clear that the lack of education in our Government is not an accident, but rather a deliberate design. To control a people is to keep them ignorant of their rights and keep them in poverty. Sadly, the Democrat Party, which is now moving to the Communist Party, is an expert in this realm. Socialism, Communism, and Marxism have never worked and never can work at the scale or a large country because they work against human nature. 

Being angry with Donald Trump, our President, over the Government shutdown is absurd because he does not have control of the federal funds. Today, November 3, there has been 15 roll call votes in the Senate to reopen the Government. The Count was 54 Yea and 45 Nay. Only two Senate Democrats voted to open the Government: John Fetterman and proudly, Catherine Cortez Masto from Nevada. The other Senator from Nevada, Jackie Rosen, voted to keep the Government closed. https://www.senate.gov/senators/index.htm This is the website for researching Senators. Please take the time to contact Democratic Senators, especially Jackie Rosen, and ask them to vote to reopen the Government. Recently, millionaire Timothy Mellon donated $130 million to the Pentagon to help cover the military's expenses during the shutdown. The President is calling Mellon a true patriot.  

Many people are upset that the SNAP program will be cut off at the beginning of November if the budget proposal is not passed. This program costs the United States $103 million per year. The bottom line is that the SNAP program was not designed to be an ongoing permit program for people to receive free food. Yes, some individuals should be eligible for this program, such as people with disabilities and older adults. Healthy Americans are expected to work, but under the Johnson Administration in the 1960s, the Great Society program significantly shifted a portion of our society toward relying on government handouts.  

Now there is the question of whether Illegals receive SNAP, and legally, the answer is no. Looking at areas that have a large population of Islamics, we must understand the scenario. The women in this area do not work; they have babies. Sadly, these women are not educated, and their only job is to produce children. If they came to America illegally and started making babies, all of those children are now citizens in our country. These children are eligible for SNAP and many other programs that you and I pay for. Islamic families have extensive numbers of children. This scenario applies to all individuals who entered our country illegally. Realistically, these families will not keep the food they receive from SNAP solely for their children; the entire family will use it. 

Democrats want to expand Obamacare, so they are holding all of the SNAP recipients hostage. This addition would allow the 20 million illegals (we don't know the actual number under the Biden Administration) to apply for health care under Obamacare. We, the taxpayers, are footing the bill for all of this. The most insulting part of this situation is that many of these people do not want to assimilate into our culture. Our citizens need to understand who they should be angry with, and it is the Democrat Party. Their standoff is right out of the Marxist playbook: starve them and they will bow. Meanwhile, President Trump is traveling around the world, making deals that are good for America. The President made deals with Japan, South Korea, and China. 

The leftists are upset over the new Ballroom, which is greatly needed. The White House was unable to host a seated dinner for more than 250 people. The President is using some of his own money, along with a long list of donors. I have included a few of the donors: Apple, Amazon, Altria, Caterpillar, T-Mobile, Comcast, Union Pacific, and more. See the entire list, using this URL https://thehill.com/homenews/administration/5569197-major-companies-fund-whitehouse/. 

Everyone needs to understand that taxpayers are not paying for the new Ballroom. The irony is that every President has the right to make changes to the White House. Barack Obama had elaborate basketball courts installed, and the taxpayers paid $375 million for that installation. Obama's installation enabled him to invite famous basketball players to the White House, allowing him to play. I don't think this really benefited the American people. Now, the people will have a ballroom befitting the most famous house in the world, the White House. Donald Trump, being a builder, understands that we need a Grand Ballroom to host diplomatic dinners and other events. The new Grand Ballroom will be an excellent addition to the White House. 

A week ago, Saturday night, the Carson City Republican Party supported Fish by purchasing a table for their biggest fundraiser of the year. The Ladies who participated at our table decided to decorate our table as a celebration of the United States and its 250 years. We decided it would be a great addition to dress in period clothes. We were delighted to win the best prize for the Best Themed Table—a fantastic night for a great cause and excellent friends.  

The Nevada Day Parade was an enjoyable day for the CCRP. Thanks to the owner of the Ormsby House, who was very gracious and allowed us to have a booth in their parking lot. We have had a great time for 2 years in a row by having the booth on Carson Street. This year, we also had a booth representing Governor Lombardo, as well as a booth from Turning Point Action, which was located alongside ours. We had many people visit us for Turning Point Merchandise, and it was just a great conversation.

• First Friday, November 7, will take place at the White House on Stewart Street from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. Come out and join us for the last one of the year.                                   

• Movie Night, November 13, 5:30 to 8 PM. Letters to the American Church is our movie for this month (rated 8.8 on IMDB). This movie depicts Pastor Bonhoeffer and his war against the Nazi's during World War II in Germany. Our film will be shown at the CCRP Headquarters, located at 1971 California Street, Carson. • CCRP General Membership Meeting, November 20. Our meeting takes place in the Craft 55 Room of the Casino Fandango. The doors open at 6:30 with the meeting starting at 7 PM.
