CCRP Two Weeks in a Glance; April 30, 2025

President Trump pledged that his administration would move forward with a mass deportation of illegal immigrants. We want the illegals deported; that is one reason President Trump won the popular vote. It is shocking how many Democrats are trying to block making progress. Fundamentally, these people have broken the law; they crossed into our country illegally. Every day, we hear they are entitled to due process. Are they entitled to the same due process that an American Citizen is entitled to? Of course not; the immigration laws are incredibly complicated, and these people are not afforded the same laws as you and I. They are criminals; they crossed into our country illegally. They have not contributed to our system but are receiving Social Security and Medicaid. We want people to assimilate into our society and value being an American citizen. 

I have a personal story of a young woman whose family moved here legally from Puerto Rico. The young lady was trying to improve herself but lived in government-subsidized housing. The neighborhood was drug-infested, and she was very worried about her younger brother. Blanca pleaded with her mother to get a job and move out of their housing. Her mother commented, "Why, I have air conditioning, a microwave, and a color TV. I would never have this in Puerto Rico, and it's free." Embarrassed by her mother, Blanco shared this with me in 1988; I have never forgotten that testimony. Let that sink in: most people who have illegally come to our country do not have our values and some just see us as a source of free goods and services.  

Our country must contend with Our country must contend with activist district court judges interfering with national security. Many people have not studied our Constitution since grade school. Our forefathers created our government with three Branches of Government: Congressional, Executive, and Judiciary; with clearly delimited powers. Congress and the Executive branches have the most power. The Judicial Branch has the least amount of power. You would not know it by how judges have been behaving. They are trying to stonewall until the 2026 election, hoping they pick up a few seats in Congress. Please understand that the Leftist Dems don't care whatsoever about these illegals; they only see them as a tool to manipulate voters so they can get what they truly care about and that is power. The plan is to overwhelm the system with 15 to 21 million illegals so that we eventually will have to give them amnesty and give them the right to vote. They are not even being subtle about it. I am sure these Marxists are counting on these illegals voting for them. They are trying to destroy our country and remake it into a ‘socialist utopia’ by allowing these millions of people into our country and causing our nation to implode from within. 

President Trump should rightly invoke the Alien Enemies Act of 1798 to protect the citizens of the United States. The Democrats are not willing to work with the Trump Administration; therefore, they must utilize every legal tool to move their agenda forward, the agenda that the citizens of the United States voted for. The Democrats in the Nevada Legislature have more concerns about people who are not citizens than the citizens they have taken an oath to protect. We will have another election in less than a year and a half. We must vote for people who share our values. President Trump needs our help, and the best way we can assist is by voting in every election in the future. We made some progress in the last election but must keep fighting. We need to vote Congressman Amodei and Assemblyman P.K. O'Neill into office. Governor Lombardo and Lt. Governor Anthony will need our votes as well. Hopefully, we will have great candidates for Attorney General and Secretary of State, whom we must get behind. If the Rural Counties get out and vote, we rule. There is no sitting out the next election in 2026; we need you. #IPromiseToVote! 

2026 Election: It is hard to believe we have another election in just eighteen months. Local elections are just as important, if not more so. Why? Because they have a greater impact on you directly in the short term. I promise the CCRP will work just as hard to get every Republican out to vote. Our Governor, Joe Lombardo, will be up for reelection in 2026. It is your responsibility to research the candidates running for office, but I can assure you that we must reelect the current Governor and the Lt. Governor. On June 21, 2023, the Governor vetoed 75 Bills. He promised to veto even more if that is what is needed with these Marxist bills coming from the 83rd Legislature (this session). Many of these Marxist-driven bills would have taken our state to the likes of California or Washington. Attorney General Aaron Ford is planning to run for Governor. Ford wants to turn Nevada into a Sanctuary State (he is following the California model). Ford believes transgender individuals should be allowed in the military, girls’ locker rooms and girls' sports. 80% of the American population does not believe ’transmen’ belong in Girl's Sports. There are rumors that Steve Sisolak may make another run for Governor. I am asking all of you to rally around our Governor, who is fighting for us here in Nevada. In November, Governor Joe Lombardo praised the Wolf Pack volleyball women's players for boycotting San Jose State, which has a trans player on their team. Our Governor was one of 9 Governors who asked the NCAA to bar transgender athletes from women's sports. 

Governor Lombardo supports the Trump Agenda, and with our state going Red in the presidential election, we must be actively supporting our Governor. General Membership Meeting: Our next general membership meeting will be on May 22 at the Casino Fandango, 3800 S. Carson St., Craft 55 room. We will have a social time from 6:30 to 7 p.m., and the meeting will start promptly at 7 p.m. We will be announcing our speaker shortly.  

This past month, we had our bi-annual election for our Executive Board. I am very pleased to announce our Executive Board: Chairman Susan Ruch, 1st Vice Chair John Pack, 2nd Vice Chair Elysse Johnston, Secretary Roberta Long, and Treasurer Gordon Allen. We voted unanimously. Thank you, everyone, for your continued support.  

As part of our meeting, we surveyed the top five things that are most important to you for this upcoming election. We also wanted to know what you believe are essential goals the CCRP should be trying to achieve. If you were not at the meeting, you may stop by the office and pick up a form to fill out. We want to hear your thoughts. We will analyze the information and share it at the next meeting.  

Our Lincoln Day Dinner was a fantastic evening. Once more, thank you to everyone who participated in our Lincoln Day Dinner; you made it the "best one ever." Our 'Our Constitution is Alive' class is an 11-week class that started on April 14 at 6:00 p.m. We, the People, need to know the laws of the US Constitution. The highly informative class is held at Calvary Chapel church in their fellowship hall. Calvary Chapel is located at 1635 E. Clearview Rd, Carson City. You may buy the study guide for $20 for the first class that evening. This class is excellent; you will learn interesting facts about the US Constitution and how the laws affect your lives. Snacks and drinks are available during the class.   You may still register for the class or receive more information at 775 841-1800. This class is held every Monday for the next 9 weeks; you are not obliged to attend every class. 

First Friday: Our First Friday on May 2 will be held at Cucina Lupos, 308 Curry Street, Carson City, from 6 to 9 p.m. Join us for great conversations and a fun evening. 

Rib Fest at the Casino Fandango will be here from May 23 to May 26. We will have our annual booth there, and we will need volunteers. Many of you have helped with this event; we always have a good time. Call the office to sign up to assist with the 3-hour shifts. When you are there, be sure to stop by our booth. Yeah, it feels like summer.

On Communism

In December 1963, a congressman from Florida read into the Congressional Record a synopsis of Cleon Skousen’s book “The Naked Communist”, now known as “The 45 Goals of Communism.”

Aside from those goals pertaining to 1950s and 1960s Soviet Russia during the Cold War, the remaining communist goals are currently and actively being instituted.

The systemic infiltration of all American institutions and the clear attack on the family unit, with a specific focus on youth, are clear and alarming. They are obvious yet allusive, simple in concept yet definitely brilliant.

The following is an exact reproduction of the December 1963 congressional testimony entered into the record by Congressman Albert S. Herlong Jr. of Florida and represents a synopsis of Cleon Skousen’s Communism is NOT dead.

Your constitutional Republic and Free Market economy are in jeopardy of being taken over by modern global communism disguised as democracy, diversity, equity, and security.

Massive propaganda and fear campaigns are used to expand government authority, dissolve our privacy, and individual rights in the name of government-provided security.

45 Goals of Communism 

1. U.S. acceptance of coexistence as the only alternative to atomic war.

2. U.S. willingness to capitulate in preference to engaging in atomic war.

3. Develop the illusion that total disarmament by the United States would demonstrate moral strength.

4. Permit free trade between all nations regardless of Socialist affiliation and regardless of whether or not items could be used for war.

5. Extension of long-term loans to Russia and Soviet Satellites.

6. Provide American aid to all nations regardless of Socialist domination.

7. Grant recognition of Red China. Admission of Red China to the U.N.

8. Set up East and West Germany as separate states in spite of Khrushchev's promise in 1955 to settle the Germany question by free elections under supervision of the U.N.

9. Prolong the conferences to ban atomic tests because the U.S. has agreed to suspend tests as long as negotiations are in progress.

10.Allow all Soviet satellites individual representation in the U.N.

11.Promote the U.N. as the only hope for mankind. If its charter is rewritten, demand that it be set up as one-world government with its own independent armed forces. (Some Socialist leaders believe the world can be taken over as easily by the U.N. as by Moscow. Sometimes these two centers compete with each other as they are now doing in the Congo.)

12.Resist any attempt to outlaw the Communist Party.

13.Do away with all loyalty oaths.

14.Continue giving Russia access to the U.S. Patent office.

15.Capture one or both of the political parties in the United States.

16.Use technical decisions of the courts to weaken basic American institutions by claiming their activities violate civil rights.

17.Get control of the schools. Use them as transmission belts for socialism and current Socialist propaganda. Soften the curriculum. Get control of teachers' associations. Put the party line in textbooks.

18.Gain control of all student newspapers.

19.Use student riots to foment public protests against programs or organizations which are under Socialist attack.

20.Infiltrate the press. Get control of book-review assignments, editorial writing, policy-making positions.

21.Gain control of key positions in radio, TV and motion pictures.

22.Continue discrediting American culture by degrading all forms of artistic expression. An American Communist cell was told to "eliminate all good sculpture from parks and buildings,

23.Control art critics and directors of art museums. "Our plan is to promote ugliness, repulsive meaningless art."

24.Eliminate all laws governing obscenity by calling them "censorship" and a violation of free speech and free press.

25.Break down cultural standards of morality by promoting pornography and obscenity in books, magazines, motion pictures, radio and TV.

26.Present homosexuality, degeneracy and promiscuity as "normal, natural, healthy."

27.Infiltrate the churches and replace revealed religion with "social" religion. Discredit the Bible and emphasize the need for intellectual maturity which does not need a "religious crutch."

28.Eliminate prayer or any phase of religious expression in the schools because it violates the principle of "separation of church and state."

29.Discredit the American Constitution by calling it inadequate, old-fashioned, out of step with modern needs, a hindrance to cooperation between nations on a world-wide basis.

30.Discredit the American Founding Fathers. Present them as selfish aristocrats who had no concern for the "common man."

31.Belittle all forms of American culture and discourage the teaching of American history on the ground that it was only a minor part of "the big picture" of social studies. Give more emphasis to Russian history since the Communists took over.

32.Support any socialist movement to give centralized control over any part of the culture -- education, social agencies, welfare programs, mental health clinics, etc.

33.Eliminate all laws or procedures which interfere with the operation of the Socialist apparatus.

35.Discredit and eventually dismantle the FBI.

36.Infiltrate and gain control of more unions.

37.Infiltrate and gain control of big business.

38. Transfer some of the powers of arrest from the police to social agencies. Treat all behavioral problems such as psychiatric disorders which no one but psychiatrists can understand or treat.

39. Dominate the psychiatric profession and use mental health laws as a means of gaining coercive control over those who oppose Socialist goals.

40. Discredit the family as an institution. Encourage promiscuity and easy divorce.

41. Emphasize the need to raise children away from the negative influence of parents. Attribute prejudices, mental blocks and retarding of children to suppressive influence of parents.

42. Create the impression that violence and insurrection are legitimate aspects of the American tradition; that students and special-interest groups should rise up and use "united force" to solve economic, political or social problems.

43. Overthrow all colonial governments before native populations are ready for self-government.

44. Internationalize the Panama Canal.

45. Repeal the Connally Reservation so the U.S. cannot prevent the World Court from seizing jurisdiction over domestic problems. Give the World Court jurisdiction over nations and individuals alike.

As the Chairman of the CCRP, I shared this with many of you several years ago, but I want all of you to re-familiarize yourself with these bullet points of communism. When you read this, you can see the struggles we face in defeating this ill informed doctrine.

We see it in our unions, culture, and schools everywhere, and it is sickening. We can’t give up, we can’t slow down, so stand tall with us; we are making progress.

With our progress in the 2024 election the democrats are riled up and their big-dollar supporters are funding new efforts to win in 2026. We just cannot let our guard down; the war is far from over. Sure, we tasted victory in the election of President Trump but this was but a skirmish in a larger war.

We have many more battles to win, so strap on your boots. We have a battle to win in 2026.

CCRP Two Weeks in a Glance, April 15, 2025

This past week, the hot topic was the Convention of States. Many believers in northern Nevada believe we should move forward with the COS.  The Convention of States is much more complicated than the frequently shared, simplified short version. Article Five of the Constitution specifies how our Constitution can be amended, with many stipulations/benchmarks that would have to be achieved before the states could take the amendment to the Constitution to the states for ratification. Many people favor the COS for the right reasons, such as wanting a balanced budget.  If we went forward with the convention, it would not be exclusive to only like-minded people.  The COS would be open to everyone across the United States. In controlled situations within our party, we are constantly complaining about RINOs.  In a COS, we would include everyone: Democrats, Republicans, Independents, and the additional minor parties: Delegates from each state. Right now, we have further concerns, just one example is radicalized Muslim population throughout our country. Yes, we all have treasured family members, friends, and neighbors who have assimilated & adopted the values of our country. However look at our college campuses with the riots taking place right in front of our eyes. Many of those people have been radicalized and demonstrate daily that they hate our country and want to change it into something unconscionable. Note the movements to form concentrated Muslim-only areas and regulate their communities with Sharia Law.  Like in Texas near Dallas, 402 acres were purchased to create a town called Epic City governed by Sharia Law.  They purpose to have their own jurisdiction over Epic City, a county within a state that they hope to convert to Shira Law.  There are three of these areas forming in New Jersey. Then there is Dearborn, Michigan, with a 54% Muslim population.  We now have three Muslims in Congress: Andre Carson (D-Ind.), Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.), and Rashida Tlaib (D-Mich.). We frequently hear from these three congress members about their disdain for America. Those three congress members would love to change the Constitution for their constituents. These are examples of radicals who have no intention of assimilating into any country that is based on Judeo-Christian values.  If we were to move forward, we could find our 2nd Amendment lost, freedom of speech changed (look at England), and other liberties we as Americans enjoy if somehow we had a “Runaway” convention. It would be a nightmare to keep the three proposed amendments “impose fiscal restraints on the federal government, limit the power and jurisdiction of the federal government, and limit the terms of the office for its officials and members of Congress” as the sole purpose of the COS.  In my humble opinion, we could be opening Pandora's box. We cannot control which delegates are sent from each state.  Are you prepared to destroy the most perfect document ever written with so much uncertainty? 

Glen Beck wrote an interesting opinion piece on the Convention of States.  He favors the COS, but has decided that this is not the time in history.  This is a paraphrase of what he stated: "When our Constitution was written, the forefathers had the same vision for the Americas.  They were morally Godly people who were brilliant men.  We are a greatly divided country now, and many of the population is not involved in our politics. We have many people in the Government and our society who have various agendas; therefore, we are not united as a nation. To go further with a Convention of States at this time in history would be a grave mistake.” Once more, that was paraphrased from what Glenn Beck wrote. To open this up to people who do not entirely understand what could happen to the most beautiful document ever written would be a grave mistake. Most of our current generation has never read the Constitution. We could have a constitution you don’t recognize by the end of the COS which would take months. We the people have the right to call for a Convention of States, but there are risks, because no one has ever held a convention of states under Article V of the Constitution. The people who are pushing this forward include leftist democrats. Ask yourself why.

The Republican Party of Nevada does not stand with a Convention of States, neither does the Carson City Republican Party.

Stavros Anthony: As we approach the Midterm Elections, we must be engaged and understand who stands for Women. The Democrats are prepared to die on this hill even though nearly 80% of Americans do not believe men belong in Women's Sports. Lt. Governor Stavros Anthony stands with Women. Stavros Anthony has launched a task force to protect women's sports. The irony is that Title 9 was put into place in 1972 to protect women, and now the woke agenda is to have biological men play in women's sports. Nevada Senator Carrie Buck has introduced bill SB112. This bill would require that if a sport is designated as a women's or men's team, only biological individuals of the designated sex may participate in that sport. Side note: Lt Governor Stavros Anthony is up for reelection in 2026. We need to re-elect him; he is excellent.

We will also hold an election for the Board. We have strict criteria for running for a position on the executive board. You must be an active member for 6 months and be in good standing.  The positions are Chairman, 1st Vice Chair, 2nd Vice Chair, 3rd Vice Chair, Treasurer, and Secretary.  If you are interested in any of these positions, please send your bio to the Secretary at secretary@carsoncityrepublicans.com. Another key point is that you can only vote if you are a member of the CCRP. We kindly request that all members attend this important meeting, as you will vote for your executive members.

Governor Lombardo gave a terrific speech, and it was a lovely surprise that the First Lady attended.
